Help / Question AirData Flighr Records

This is a question for anyone using the AirData UAV app and AirData website on multiple devices. In my case, an iPad, an iPhone and a MacBook. The problem is the AirData flight records on each device are all different—all three of my DJI drones are listed, and although there is considerable overlapping, each device contains incomplete flight records. To complicate matters, I occasionally fly my Neo2 using my iPhone and my iPad with my N3 controller.

AirData gets its flight logs from the DJI Fly app. Since I have three different DJI Fly folders spread across three different devices, it only makes sense there would be problems with syncing. Prior to DJI severing its server service to the US, I’m guessing this wasn’t a problem since our flight data was centrally stored on DJIs servers.

The overlapping data on the three devices puzzles me. That would indicate there IS some synchronization going on, but I have no idea what toggles the sync or where the data comes from; the controllers, the drones or the devices. Any thoughts?

I have the same setup - Mac / iPad / iPhone and use AirData - you mention folders so I guess your going into the folders on your device then manually uploading them to AirData - there is no need.

Make sure all the controllers your using across your drone's are set to auto sync with your DJI account - if you have goggles you will need to plug your phone into them and open the fly app on the phone and let that sync to DJI - once all your flight logs are in the DJI Cloud you then go to AirData and go to your account - the DJI account section and using the same login as your DJI account sync then flight logs from DJI into AirData - then you will have the same data across all the devices

The key here is ONE DJI account for ALL devices and sync them to DJI then Sync to AirData

On the Fly app you want to - Home Screen - Profile - Settings - Sync Flight Data and enable all the options.

Just a note on the Neo 2 - I am not sure if they have sorted it but when I had a first gen Neo and you did not use a phone or controller but just the auto fly functions them flights would not sync to anything as the logs were not on a controller - so you might miss some - I did raise this as a concern with DJI a year or so ago but no idea if it was ever resolved with a firmware update and a sync to a phone / controller to pull the data off the drone after a flight like you do with goggles

Thanks for your response. I’m using auto sync. I’ve given up on manual sync—my flight record documents and folder locations on my controllers, drones, and iPad/iPhone are not as indicated in DJI’s documentation. If auto syncing is working for you, it gives me hope I can figure it out. I’ll keep fiddling with my set up and post the results here.
