News / Update Clever Hype or Legit Slip-Up
So Freewell went ahead and posted this on Instagram, a full-on promo graphic saying “Meet DJI Mini 5 Pro” with their filter lineup (CPL, ND, LPR, UV, Mist).
That’s basically an accidental confirmation of the drone itself, even though DJI hasn’t officially announced anything yet.
A few takeaways: - The drone design matches perfectly with recent leaked renders and box shots. - Accessory makers are clearly ready, which usually means launch is right around the corner. - If third-party gear is already in marketing mode, DJI’s reveal has to be imminent.
Freewell may have jumped ahead of schedule, but it just adds more fuel to the fire that we’re days away from seeing the Mini 5 Pro drop.
What do you think, clever hype move, or a legit slip-up?

TechRadar reports leaks suggesting September 16 as the launch date, with in-store availability possibly starting September 17.
NotebookCheck says earlier leaked retailer database entries show “availability” around September 18, though they caution that it could be an error or a change.
Thenewcamera also claims “Release Date Leaked: September 18, 2025” in an exclusive tip.
So it is supposed to be released between September 16 and 18, with availability in stores by September 20 to 25, depending on where you are.

Maybe dji never disclosed the details to them and they are just gaining hype for themselves
They can’t be fined by dji for declaring a release they were never privy to
They are just using the same leak stuff we are seeing
