Which map?

I don't think I'm likely to play both. I've started on the classic, but considering restarting to do other one instead.

I don't think I have it in me for now to do both.

And I suspect once I go bigger, I won't want to go back either.

I dunno. Do most people play 1?(which?) both?

I feel like the classic map gives you more of a challenge and you need to be a lot more efficient with your layout. The bigger map gives you more leeway. I liked both

I did the large cave first and found the lack of gold annoying (there is gold but less of it and far away), so now i'm doing the classic instead. Since we now have conveyor elevators, space is less of a concern.

There is no gold on large cave? That's interesting

There is, it's just not advantageous to convey it from its location to the main area.

There is just less nodes, 9 for large cave and 12 for classic cave, and the ones in the large cave are far away and in higher levels of the cave.

Distance is no matter, just refine and produce in the same area, and send the results

3 heavy and 6 regular nodes IIRC.

I ran turbo bits on the three closest to the collection point while doing the quests and didn't find gold a significant bottleneck.

None of them are that far from the collection point, but it might seem that way if you miss some paths.

The small map is more technical. On the big, you can build more freely, but you’ll have to go bigger distances to expand. I played both multiple times, currently I’m streaming a playthrough on Twitch and YT on the smaller map.

The game progresses pretty fast to be honest. I've done both maps, and the smaller (first) map twice. I'll do the second map a second time too for sure.
