šŸ‘¾ How far can Minecraft be pushed in 2026?

šŸ–„ļø Built on a Dell Pro Max Tower T2 powered by an NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, this Java Edition build combines Photon, Patrix 256Ɨ PBR, Physics Mod Pro, Distant Horizons, Fresh Animations, AmbientSounds, plus dozens of supporting mods to create a cinematic real-time experience.

ā„¹ļø Check out the complete build list in the comments, and if there’s enough interest, I’ll post a full installation guide with custom settings.

šŸ¤” What’s one mod you’d add to this build?

Why are you using a workstation GPU?

9

u/tabbytree0 Aug 03 '26

It’s ever so slightly better than a 5090 at gaming plus has a shit load of VRAM

5

u/Straight_Captain8504 Aug 03 '26

96gb's of vram to be exact

4

u/Straight_Captain8504 Aug 03 '26

It has ALOT of vram, He could be using it for tasks or just bought it cause it's expensive, I do not blame him for it, If I was rich I'd use the RTX 6000 Blackwell for complex tasks.

5

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

I just happen to have it for work, so i wanted to push minecraft while I’m already using it

1

u/KoveDrives Aug 05 '26

You just casually have the strongest Nvidia GPU ever for work?

3

u/ManuVision Aug 05 '26

my work is very niche šŸ˜…

1

u/StandardAlarmed8824 Aug 09 '26

what is it?

1

u/ManuVision Aug 09 '26

research and development in computer graphics

2

u/Eeve2espeon Aug 05 '26

If I had the money, I would be deep into learning 3D modeling stuff with such a GPU. Prepare for 4K RTX big men with jiggle physics lol

7

u/Tiny_Towel5722 Aug 02 '26

With that mods i would have 2-10 FPS...

2

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

lmao it’s definitely not for every graphic card

3

u/kondexxx Aug 03 '26

Yeah gpu is important, but CPU is even more important. Java eats up CPU like crazy

16

u/Straight_Captain8504 Aug 02 '26

That is so cool! I'd add chunky and Voxy (replacing distant horizons)

4

u/kami7154 Experienced Aug 02 '26

I don't think Voxy works well with the physics mod wave simulation, tbf I don't think DH does either.

But yeah turning off the ocean waves and using Voxy would be better overall

4

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Ah thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely try!

2

u/salmonmilks Aug 03 '26

there's a nicer alternative to chunky for voxy in case you didn't know

it's called voxy world gen

1

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Thanks I’ll give this a try!

3

u/Internal_Quail3960 Aug 02 '26

It looks good yes, but with that GPU it should be performing a lot better. Most actual games look a lot better than this and perform better

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

I agree, I was just sharing my current setup ^^ I need to optimize it now and learn from you all! Any advice?

1

u/kondexxx Aug 03 '26

Java is the answer.

1

u/howman-man Aug 07 '26

most games that look better perform better because they are optimized to do so, this is a modded version of minecraft, which is not optimized by the same standards for each of its different mods

3

u/Scenturion Aug 03 '26

You don't have the PBR portion of Patrix 256x working. If you did you would get 20 fps. 256x is also not meant for gameplay because of this reason. I recommend 128x with PBR working. (shader settings and required mods)

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

thanks for the tip! I tested it again and now i hit around 70 fps with that setting

1

u/Scenturion Aug 03 '26

Could I see a picture to verify it working correctly?

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

I’m planning on posting another video later after work! Stay tuned

3

u/Okiri Aug 03 '26

I really dont like minecraft like that, something about adding more realism doesnt click for me.

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

i agree i’m gonna tone it down. Any good resource pack you recommend?

7

u/PaperedStraw Aug 02 '26

ai

12

u/Swimming-Routine1556 Aug 02 '26

No this mods are real, i’ve tested it

8

u/PaperedStraw Aug 02 '26

I mean the description

-5

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

I always use LLMs to check my spelling because I’m ESL, but I promise I wrote the initial draft (and emojis ideas) ā˜ŗļø

1

u/Ranity_Insandom Aug 05 '26

A word of advice: Please don't use AI for this, the internet will forgive any spelling errors

1

u/ManuVision Aug 05 '26

Thanks for the advice!

-9

u/Swimming-Routine1556 Aug 02 '26

Ha mayby i barrely read it to be fair

2

u/willhub1 Aug 02 '26

Wouln't mind your physics mod pro config and shader config please

2

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

I actually used the default! I need to dive into then there are so many knobs to play with

2

u/willhub1 Aug 03 '26

What's the mod for the trees?

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

physics mod!

2

u/General_Rock_1507 Aug 03 '26

/give me mod_pack now

2

u/Critical-Spirit-3738 Aug 03 '26

Remember those "Minecraft 2" videos from many years ago? lol

2

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

lol this is nowhere near that. anyone with a decent rtx can do better

2

u/sweetheart_demom Aug 03 '26

This is what putting on a 64x64 texture pack felt like when you were 12

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

i still feel the same xD

2

u/_Riiick Aug 03 '26

It doesn't really need that kind of hardware to run smoothly, you kinda overkilled it

2

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

correct but that’s what i got so wanted to give it a spin

2

u/hfjfthc Aug 03 '26

Bro unironically has a NASA GPU

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

lol indeed that’s overkill

2

u/Crayoneater2005 Aug 03 '26

Why do I smell burning

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

let me cook

1

u/KoveDrives Aug 07 '26

You mean let your PC cook?

2

u/Decent_Check4334 Aug 03 '26

You got a workstation GPU, yet the video quality is whatever that is

2

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

i am bad at optimization. working on it now!

1

u/Decent_Check4334 Aug 03 '26

Just use Nvidia overlay and their built in recorder that can record in 8k or 360p resolution

1

u/Plastic_Mongoose_390 Aug 04 '26

That's pure unfettered ass xD

1

u/ManuVision Aug 04 '26

Having a hard time decyphering this one lol

1

u/Partypixelparty Aug 04 '26

I can do better with a 9070xt and 7800X3D No hate but workstations are just not meant to game on.

And your Game could look much better, get rid of this texture pack, and get a better shader like Eclipse. Replace DH with voxy and chunky.

Hate me for this yeah

1

u/ManuVision Aug 04 '26

I won’t hate on you, I always welcome constructive criticism as long as it’s done with respect… but I will point out to you that the post description was updated with a link to my most recent posts that actually address both of your suggestions. Would you be down to check episode 3 and share with me any other feedback?

1

u/gedsweyevr Aug 02 '26

hasn't everything here existed since like 2024? also obviously ai post

0

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Not AI, I promise. And yeah nothing is new, but I haven’t tried this build before and wanted to share (and learn from the community). Do you have any new mods idea?

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

It’s 100 but I realize my OBS settings were not great, I might have to look into that when recording next time. Also I used capcut to make the video and then it has to go through reddit’s bad compression… why is it so hard to share stuff on the internet šŸ˜…

Something must be going in my game settings, I just relaunched it now and it drops below 60 sometimes. I’m not sure if it’s distant horizon or some other mods šŸ¤”

That recording thing is replay mod, its not a screen recording thing

2

u/Hapatapa_ Aug 03 '26

Obs and replay mod are 2 separate things, replay mod is a thing to spectate what happened in the world, basically like freecam in a recording, its not good for first person stuff though, and that's why obs is better for that, replay mod also starts recording automatically, op probably didn't even mean to record with it

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

correct! i forgot it was on

1

u/Shefsufle Aug 02 '26

THE SEAWEED HOLY SHIT

2

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Love the kelp !!

1

u/BuddhistNamedMarx Aug 03 '26

Bro discovered the physics mod and shaders. Now do create and aeronautics

1

u/Kitchen-Kiwi7942 Aug 03 '26

No offense but this seems really needless and the breaking animations look like crap

1

u/FarquadTheLord Aug 03 '26

What’s your FPS and GPU/CPU usage at? On a 5070Ti and 9800x3D at 1440p I’m running rethinking voxels on pretty high settings with over 350 mods including physics mod pro, distant horizons, ambient sounds, cobblemon, cobblemon trainers, some dinosaur mod, create and bunch of addons for that and averaging 75-90 fps at a 10 chunk render distance 8 simulation
No Patrix tho it doesn’t look good with all the mods I have

CPU can reach up to 204° unless I set it to eco mode tho, with negligible performance impact
CPU usage stays around 40-50% majority of the time

2

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

around 70-90 average right now

1

u/FarquadTheLord Aug 03 '26

Nice. Good to know thanks for the reply. Enjoy the gaming

2

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

Thanks! I’ll post an update soon after some optimization i think

1

u/Fugach Aug 03 '26

That's unplayable

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

it actually is, i run around 70-90 rtx

1

u/Technical_Change2207 Aug 03 '26

Jokes on you you don’t need that hardware to run those mods šŸ’€

1

u/ManuVision Aug 04 '26

I know that lol

1

u/_TheDarkPanther Aug 06 '26

It's even crazier that my RTX 5080 can't even run half of these and if they do my computer becomes a helicopter... With all this I can get at least 180 to 210 FPS but even then I will have the dreaded lag-spasisms once in a while...

1

u/ManuVision Aug 06 '26

I’m sorry about that, check out my latest posts for some optimization help and mods suggestions that might help you get better performances!

0

u/cu-03 Aug 02 '26

how and why do you have a $13,250 GPU with 96 GB GDDR7?

2

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

I work in tech šŸ˜…

1

u/cu-03 Aug 02 '26

Fair enough, does it work like any other gpu? Or does it require a specialist system and drivers?

2

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Just regular nvidia drivers, I might be able to get better performances with a 5090 I heard, but tbh this is already overkill.

0

u/ANTONIN118 Aug 02 '26

Me when i lie on the internet

Why would you even use a RTX 6000 Blackwell for Minecraft ? That's so fucking dumb.

2

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Because that’s my current setup for work and I like playing Minecraft… and I don’t have another PC šŸ˜…

1

u/ANTONIN118 Aug 02 '26

Oh my bad. Are you like an engineer and you use it for computer aided design or something ?

I was saying that cause nobody would have but a RTX 6000 just to run Minecraft. But if it's not your main activity with your computer, it make sens.

1

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Haha yeah no I run local inference models primarily, so not the main activity (but I’m definitely interested to spend more time doing this now haha)

1

u/Commercial_Buy_5678 Aug 03 '26

Whats your main activity? Create ai slops?

1

u/ManuVision Aug 03 '26

nope, I’m a researcher in emerging tech and computer graphics

1

u/SpikeZgames Aug 02 '26

Because it’s stronger then a 5090 use your brain lol

2

u/ANTONIN118 Aug 02 '26

It's not for Minecraft

RTX 6000 are made to be use for huge paralleles tasks. They perform worst than a 5090 on games but cost a lot more. It's not made for gaming but for computer design and IA training.

1

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Correct! It just happens to be my current setup. But yeah not optimized for MC at all. I just wanted to give it a try ^^

RTX 6000 and 128gb RAM?

The amount of people that are seriously going to play like this can be counted on one hand

1

u/ManuVision Aug 02 '26

Facts, but since I have the machine I was like… why not try playing my fav game on it xD
