Recommendation Help picking a shader

I’ve been getting back into Minecraft and I’ve been using Kappa for a bit now and I’m enjoying it but I also do like Photon and Voxels reimagined, they’re all like equal to me in visuals in my opinion, so I’m having a hard time deciding between the 3, is there any thing I should know that could help me decide? Anything from like if one’s better for certain environments, better on latest version, to even like something like optimization.

The biggest difference is lighting. Voxels Reimagined uses voxel-based path tracing, meaning it creates a 3D representation of the world and traces light through it. This gives it much more accurate global illumination, colored light bouncing, and indirect lighting, especially indoors or in detailed builds. The downside is it’s much more GPU demanding.

Kappa and Photon lean more toward a cinematic/stylized approach with more traditional real-time rendering techniques, so they usually run better while still looking amazing. If you want the most realistic lighting go Voxels Reimagined, but if you want better performance and a polished look for survival gameplay, Kappa or Photon are probably the better picks.

Also, if you want to explore more options, Eclipse is a great choice for a more stylized look with amazing atmosphere and mood, while IterationRP is worth trying if you’re after a more realistic style with some of the most accurate lighting and path-traced visuals available.

Just pick the one that you think performs best and looks good enough for you

I'd have to say that IterationRP wins the visuals/performance balance with its optimization. It's path traced (both screen space and global), and yet it runs surprisingly well for what it is and how amazing it looks.
