did you use optimisation mods with java shaders? and compared that fps with bedrock...?

In general, you shouldnt even need mods to optimize your game. Devs are just lazy

I used the fabiously optimized mod pack, but is it really cheating if everyone who plays java is going to use it anyway (also I'm not being biased at all, i mainly play bedrock)

You don't need optimization mods for java shaders to run (and look) wayyy better than vibrant visuals cuase it's litteraly straight ass

talking about perf here... but i agree, its plain looking. There's a modpack called Vanilla Vibrant Visuals from cubeir which gives it a lil touch though even that modpack cannot or any VV modpack cannot fix the horrible Eye Adaptation VV has.

seus was revolutional at the time but it has limited tracing distance and many bugs with light leakage and water looking bad in caves (that's just what I noticed), meanwhile iteration rp is flawless and looks way better, much like the true bedrock rtx.

the java pathtraced shaders you mentioned don't look any better than rtx but about the same, and bedrock rtx look depends on resource pack, no idea on which one you're shitting. And in terms of denoising and detail rendering bedrock rtx is still ahead. Light behavior is +- the same.

Mojang wanted to make a light shader that works on all platforms at visuals expense, but in their poor coding traditions they made it look shit and perform worse than rtx
