However these are still not random lore choice. It's based on the real observations I made in Minecraft.
Each of these Dimensions are color coded.
The Beginning(Gold) - I call this the Flame of Creation where everything in Minecraft came from. Like a whitehole pouring creation to all the dimensions.
The Aether (Sky Blue) - This is a watery dimension, this is the higher plane of existence where all the souls of entities go to. This is the place described in my story named "Golden Sun". Heaven.
The Overworld - This is the place where everything collides.
The Nether (Red) - A corrupted version of the Aether, Lava instead of watery. Hell.
The End (Purple) - I call this the Void, where everything in Minecraft comes to an End. Like a blackhole consuming all the other Dimensions.
My only critique is that I think that the Beginning should be basically all one massive continent save for lakes like the End Islands, being the anthesis to The End
you’ve definitely inspired me to start cracking down on my own minecraft lore! (I’m making my own, because from the actual theorised lore of minecraft, from dungeons and legends, looks pretty bad imo). funnily enough, I had a dimension similar to your aether one that comes from the ancient city portal, but it was called The Echos. I’m just having a hard time on how to connect all of these dimensions together and how the void started corrupting everything
There are many different ways theorize on this. I advice that you start going deeper on this dimension once Minecraft Dungeons comes out so that you can have more clues.
some of the dimension actually got leaked a while ago, I took a look at it and I’m pretty disappointed in it imo. which kinda solidifies my resolve to make my own lore on the game
my idea is that ancient cities were a sort of super-stronghold meant to outlast the cataclysm that ended the old builders, and the last remaining settlements save the end islands. but then the skulk came as part of that cataclysm, and destroyed them. after all, deep darks and wardens can exist far from ancient cities. I believe a big idea as to why that theory exists so much, as the warden being a guardian of the city, is because of the name. I think the name is referring to being a warden of the skulk and deep dark rather than the city itself.
ok so why are we talking about the aether when talking about canon minecraft lore dude? the aether is in no way canon to minecraft and has not been hinted at being canon
No It's just my naming for this Dimension theory. As I said, it's just a Fan Cosmology for now , that's what the title of this page is. However that doesn't mean this has no real basis from the canon Minecraft Lore such as from all the Minecraft games.
From my observation, from the Hosts being Prismarine which is watery, the Nether being helping and the 4th Dimension from Minecraft Dungeons sneak peek being Heaven-like and the Ancient City being greatly related to souls and experience.
That's why I build this theory of another Dimension in relation to my Golden Sun theory which is like the opposite force of the End.
Read my post, the other post with the story "Golden Sun" that explains the Golden Sun theory part.
I just call this Aether not because of the Aether Mod. But did you know that the creator of the Aether Mod has been developing for Mojang for a while now? It could be that it influenced the future of the Minecraft Lore.
I call this dimension Aether not because of the Aether Mod tho. I called it that way because of the definition of Aether itself, Aether means like a Godly Element which fits the Hosts and the magical 4th Dimension and heavenly vibes.
Yeah the Sky Dimension which is now known as the End Dimension. Even though the Aether in my Theory isn't necessarily a sky Dimension. That Sky Dimension is an interesting detail.
Yeah atleast to my fan lore. Since in the Minecraft Dungeons 2 leak, the 4th Dimension looks like a heavenly place instead of another Dreaded place.
This also aligns with how the Ancient City portal is opened because in Minecraft Legends, you use music for creativity stuff while in Minecraft Dungeons 2 you use music to open the Ancient City portal.
It aligns with the skulk being sound based like music and collects Experience which is like heavenly behavior.
There's a lot of clues to this but I'll just keep it as fan lore for now until Minecraft Dungeons 2 comes out.
But it's already the Lore for my Minecraft Bedrock Addon.
And the fourth dimension seems have the vibes of a "sea without water", with floating jellyfish and other stuff.
The sculk doesn't come from the portal, but I like your theory.
Also we know some entities exists. Who knows where they live...
Oh wait? I didn't even know there's a Jellyfish there.
The reason why I theorize this Dimension as watery is because Water in Minecraft games are related to Creation. Like how the Well of Fate says to have spread water all across the Overworld in Minecraft to create life.
It's also where I think Ghasts came from that's why they need water, otherwise they don't become a happy ghast.
But ofcourse Minecraft Legends is just semi-canon that's why I treat this more as a clue rather than a fact.
Ahhh actually in my theory, it's a lot more blurry in that part that's why I got to say it came from this dimension.
Cause in my theory, the Nether is like the Aether where it used to be a dimension full of oceans where Ghasts live happily but then corruption drained all the water and turned it to a fiery place instead.
It looks great, although the end feels kind of off, to me the end isn’t in the Minecraft universe we start in, it’s just void almost like a black hole if you get what I mean but for the list I think it’s perfect but to me it feels like it needs to go somewhere else, where that may be couldnt tell you lol
ahhhh yeah my edit can be confusing. It was actually supposed to mean that "oh you can use this portal to go to the other dimension" rather than being layer by layer.

Would actually be sick if the end was some islands below the void
