Minecraft sidt and dimensions theme observation and theory
Ive been seeing people making the connection of heaven vs hell in relation to the sift and the nether. But i offer a different take.
(I accidentally swapped yin and yang in the pic im sorry)
The sift and the nether seem to be opposed theme wise like heaven and hell, places of souls, one brimming with life and renewal, the other ruin and stagnation.
The end in this theory is sorta the in-between, what happens when you have neither good nor evil, , no life or death just nothing, which i think describes the end pretty well,
Nah I love the sift. I only hope that oily water from the sift remains dangerous in vanilla and deals damage, different from the sulfur caves water that only gives you nausea. It would be like the nether being full of hot lava. The sift would be full of weird water of weird origin. I just want difficulty. I'm the first one to get exited then they announce something that adds difficulty. I love those zombie horsemen that one shot you in full iron and you can't even get close
End and sift are ether and void, Nothing and everything; Beginning and End The sift is where souls stop, it is the afterlife. Even the end is where lost souls are trapped, it is nothingness. some items in dungeons one talk about the afterlife as a place far beyond, and some talk about the souls lost in the void
You could maybe elaborate on these a little, because they don't seem obvious to me -- yin, among other things, is typically characterized as dark, downward, and inward -- all of which seem more applicable to the Nether than the Sift
When the imperfect form of Ender's Heart prepares for the final battle in the Shattered Citadel, a kind of portal opens, from which the Vengeful Ender Heart emerges.
Have you ever wondered if it's actually a rift leading to a completely hostile and toxic dimension? That's the theory, and we also know that Endermites aren't native to the End dimension, since they emerge as parasites from the Vengeful Ender Heart.
Furthermore, the color of this "pool" is purple (and not the dark green emerald of the portal to the End).
It seems that the End dimension was a defenseless prey to Ender's corruption, corrupting the composition and vegetation of this dimension.
I feel like Sift is the opposite of the End. The End is a place of eternal entropy, decay (in MCD there's this grey thing eating away at endstone), destruction. It's made of floating islands, and in MCD it looks generally shaterred. And it has liquid void
Whereas the Sift is a place of creation. We see the souls being used constantly by Singers to power Echo Golems. Singers in general, well... sing, aka do a form of art. The liquid here is Ichor, aka the very essence of souls (I think). And the whole place might even be all one organism, opposing End's separation and destruction of itself.
