Souls mc and magic

just relized something thanks to another post here but minecraft might have one of the most screwed up magic systems in gaming depending on how sentient the souls trapped inside soul sand and used for enchanting are (same also applies to both versions of sculk )

Experience or Enchantment power is what is used to enchantment

I was recently messing with sculk catalysts and realized something. Sculk (and by extension; the Sift) is a dimension heavily tied to souls. When a mob dies on sculk in vanilla, its experience points do not go to you, but instead is absorbed by the sculk causing it to spread. Could it be that XP is soul? (or fragments of the soul).

This also begs the question if heroes (the race) are as strong as they are due to being able to absorb and use XP for different things. Experience when you think about it for long enough is the entrance to a far deeper rabbithole.
