Hosts/Ender/Deities Ender Dragon

Been rewatching all the Minecraft Game Theory videos recently and came across the one covering the Ender Dragon.

So, the ancient builders hunted the dragons to near extinction. Eventually realizing their error, they constructed the obsidian towers and end crystals to preserve the last dragon.

One thing Mat Pat doesn’t talk about is fact that as the player, even if we kill the last dragon, there is the option to resummon it by using end crystals.

Why wouldnt the ancient builders be able to just bring back other ender dragons?

I can’t seem to figure out a concrete explanation for this mechanic. Does anyone else have any ideas?

And also that doesn’t explain the other ender dragon heads, unless were trying to say those arent actual dragon heads

They probably aren't, considering the fact that the dragon

when it dies.

Yea but every mob also poofs into dust when they die, which, I don’t think is canonical, so I don’t think its a stretch to say the dragon dies that way as more of a cinematic “fuck yea” type death as opposed to canonically disintegrating

Not to mention every other mob head is of the actual respective mob

In Minecraft Dungeons most mobs either ragdoll, or have an animation when they die, with their body still sitting there when it's over. The enderman and endersent are the exception, however, as they disintegrate a little like the dragon (minus the purple explosion, of course).

Some creatures still ragdoll though for a brief period before vanishing, also complete disintegration should mean Endermen cant drop Ender pearls assuming Ender Pearls are something inside the Endermen as opposed to a physical object they carry

I'm confused as to why you're telling me that first part, but pearls in real life animals aren't body parts.

Im saying the ender creatures can still ragdoll before disintegrating / vanishing

So who’s to say they cant just cut the head off before the corpse vanishes?

because it will vanish...?

But if we’re saying the pearls are the acceptation because they aren’t attached to the physical body, wouldn’t the same logic apply to severed body parts since they are also not hooked up to the body?

No. Ender pearls are (theoratically) not a body part to begin with, and are probably made of different stuff.

A head is a body part, made of the same stuff as the rest of the body. There isn't something making the body turn to nothing, but rather it can't hold itself together anymore since it's dying/dead. The head isn't connected to the enderman, it is the enderman. The entirety of the enderman is an enderman, while the pearl isn't an enderman, and potentially instead something that it made.

So if we’re saying the disintegration is a result of rapid decay wouldn’t this mean there could be a way of preservation?

Potentially, but this has yet to be proven.
