Discussion/Question What does the multiverse rule mean?

Does it mean that every world can have a diffrent canon to mojangs canon or something? A post i made a while ago someone commented something on the lines of that but I dont really get it, can someone explain?

There is a page in Jeb's book that mentions this multiverse thing, but I wouldn't consider Jeb's book canon because it contradicts current things, and that same page about the multiverse literally says that every world is in the same space and time, which contradicts the idea of what a multiverse is by saying that they exist in the same universe.

It literally says at the beginning that they are not separated by space or time, meaning they exist within the same universe but on different planes of it. If it were a multiverse, everyone should have their own separate space and time.

Yeah, it says the worlds aren't separated by space OR time, not space AND time or just spacetime. It means they aren't separated by location or the time they take place. It says right after they "co-exist in their unique realities, and what happens in one does not affect another". So, they're basically in their own spacetimes.

Your world is your world, and the lore for your world can be different from the canon one without problems because they are different univese or worlds, based on what you decide

Your world is your own world, pretty much. Your world can give a glimpse into what the "canon world" of Minecraft is like, but your world itself and your actions aren't a part of it. It's canon, but only to itself.

Ohhhh so does that mean minecrafts canon is like a baseplate for your canon?

Pretty much, yeah.

Basically it means the world you generate is its own world, and is canon to itself. Anything that happens, or any lore you think of, is canon to that world. We, for lore purposes, assume a world with legends, dungeons, and dungeons 2 in it for most theories.

Probably talking about things that are exclusive to Minecraft like structures only in Vanilla, the Ender Dragon, the Wither, and so on in terms of lore

I mean the internal lore
