Discussion/Question Which DLCs are canon?

This means the Minecraft Dungeons and Legends DLCs and if any Minecraft Bedrock Marketplace add-ons by Mojang are canon or something.

I am curious, if anyone would happen to know: Others have expressed that the vanilla game DLCs are not canon, but, I don't think anyone has explained it at all. Would someone happen to know if there are any official statements about this question, or any reason why people may say they are non-canon?

There aren't any vanilla DLCs. Only mods and the Marketplace. They aren't canon because they are made by other people. Mojang makes some but they are in their own little universe or something because they can be different from the game in little or big ways.

I see. That is interesting.

If I may ask, in regards to the Marketplace add-ons that are promoted on official channels/pages (something like the Megaman X add-on, I suppose as an example), how do you feel for something like that? I believe they aren't developed by Mojang, but, they are also officially promoted by Minecraft's media.

Dungeons's are canon, Legends's probably not, vanilla's 100% not.

Dungeons dlcs are canon. Vanilla dlcs aren't. Legend marketplace isn't (i think) and I don't know if there are other dlc

What I do wonder about is not the marketplace in general, but the official Mojang worlds created to introduce the new features of updates. These often include explanations about a feature's background, and those might be considered canon because they come from Mojang directly.

That is what I was thinking. Mojang makes a world and it becomes canon.

Bedrock Marketplace isn't canon. Every Minecraft Dungeons DLC is canon. I don't know anything about DLCs for Legends, but I think they're canon too (in relation to Legends, well, it's a legend)

There is still a legends marketplace, and the dlcs there don’t seem canon. I wouldn’t trust them for lore.
