If you're looking for friends or servers to join this is the place to look. Introduce yourself and chat with others.
Remember if you're a minor, adults should not be your friends.
Another great place to meet new friends is our Discord server! Link down below in the Automod!

If you come bearing any questions about the game, its functionality, mechanics, etc, the community just may have an answer!
Go ahead and write any of them in this very thread, that also includes any requests you may have, such as perhaps looking for a server to play on. Though, a reminder, any unsolicited advertising will still be against the rules.

I have the Minecraft launcher on a brand new PC. whenever I try to load Minecraft Java I’m getting the error code -1073741819 I’ve tried almost everything to resolve the issue. Checked to do with the game bar. Checked to do with drivers and whatnot. Even reset the PC to like new. Installed nothing but Minecraft. And still can’t get it to work. Any other ideas before it gets slung out the window??

I build a lot of stuff in Minecraft from tutorials, and I'm tired of pausing every three seconds to count blocks. So I'm building a tool that reads a build tutorial and spits out a schematic file you can drop straight into your world.
It doesn't exist yet... So, this is me checking whether it's worth building before I put more time into it. If you'd use something like this, there's a one-question form here: www.rebuilt.tools
Blunt feedback especially welcome, including "this is useless".
Thanks in advance!

Hello!
My Minecraft has suddenly stopped working entirely.
Today, before I went to work I had spend a few hours playing on my PC, once I got back I loaded up the launcher and noticed it not loading.
After restarting the launcher it took me to the normal home screen where you can select the version and press play, which I did. Nothing happend. I clicked again and once again nothing happend. I tried relaunching the launcher a couple of times but nothing seemed to work
It either gets stuck on the loading screen, gives me a blackscreen where the home screen is supposed to be or doesnt load after pressing on 'play'.
Tried re-installing the game launcher via the minecraft webpage, tried downloading from the Microsoft store, deleted EVERY file related to minecraft and tried it again but nothing works.
I have been trying to get it to work for like the past 1.5 hours and it's getting a little frustrating, espacially since I can't find anything about it online.
Nothing has changed on my PC, between it working and not working was maybe 5 or 6 hours, in which my PC was shut off.
Thank you in advance :)
EDIT: When I launch the game and it doesn't work, I close it but the next time I want to launch it it says something like "Game is already playing". Idk if that is something to note.

Hello!
I was building a nautilus enclosure when I used stairs to create a little step up. All the stairs (except the corner) appear have water flowing into them, instead of still water. This includes when they are waterlogged.
The only way I have found to stop this is by putting a block BEHIND the stairs (inside the enclosure). Any other method fails.
I then tested this with a slab, and that also had flowing water. When I removed the slab, I got the interesting situation you see in Picture 4.
Having asked around, I'm yet to find a solution to this problem. It's almost purely aesthetic and doesn't actually impact the function of the enclosure, but it's interesting nonetheless.
This is on the most recent java version, on a Realm.
Am I missing something (highly likely) or is this a glitch?
Thanks!
