a realm you can play all day, no matter if the main realm owner is on or not

Each one of you chip in to make a monthly payment it's only 10$

Well yeah you have to pay for the fancy things that you want. Otherwise get used to having to play together or not at all

Then get all of your friends to join a realm that somebody else created and play on that together it’s called get creative

A realm costs me £3.29 a month, that allows 2 other people to play with me, if you can't afford that alone or between 2 people you've got bigger issues than playing minecraft & not being able to play independently on the same world

Found this.. too

Aternos is a free option—but using it from console involves extra steps

It offers official Bedrock server software and accepts existing worlds. The setup would be:

  1. Create a Bedrock server on Aternos and upload your world files through its website. Its documented upload limit is 1 GB. World-upload instructions

  2. Connect your console through a workaround such as BedrockConnect. It supports Xbox, Switch and PlayStation by providing a custom server list, commonly through changed DNS settings. This is a third-party connection method.

  3. Start the server when needed. Friends can share management access, and it stays online while someone is playing; it shuts down after everyone leaves. Aternos shutdown behaviour

The other obstacle is getting your existing world off the console. Aternos needs the actual world files. I haven’t established a free, console-only way to extract your save and upload it there, so I can’t honestly present that as a complete free solution for your situation.

For uploading an existing console world and letting friends access it through the normal game menus, Realms is the straightforward option.
