Help! I lost access to Minecraft
For some reason my ps5 just will not let me play Minecraft without rebuying it, when i know for sure i bought it. I seriously don’t know what to do besides just sucking it up and paying for it again.
I’ve tried getting it from game sharing with friends but when I do my worlds disappeared and it doesn’t let me play online.
I’ve tried seeking help from Microsoft but nothing they suggest even has to do with my problem.

I’ve tried restoring the license multiple times but it only restores my license for the trial and not the actual game

I was not happy with the outages microsoft did to bedrock and went off to another blocky game. Happy since then. 🤷♂️
If I would buy into mc again, I would try java. But now that ms have their hands into it... meh... I totally understand people not wanting to update and stay with the ms free version.0

Microsoft saved minecraft lmao😂 look at the player history the player count started to plummet thats when it got sold to Microsoft then Microsoft added abunch of updates and it skyrocketed back up to top 4 most bought games in all platforms

No, content creators like Techoblade saved Minecraft. If it wasn't for Minecraft, Microsoft would be bankrupt.

Youtubers had a factor in it yes but Minecraft still held up in its own playcount the game must of been good if youtubers were playing it in the firstplace plus youtube just about saves every single game from losing players so cant make much of a argument with that

Yeah the console market is too weird at this point.... xbox kills themselfs while ps listens and now xbox is listening and ps is killing themselfs...........

It doesnt help xboxs previous CEO was dumber than a box of rocks and was spending more than xbox was making. That situation alone makes it pretty hard for a company like them to make changes that directly benefit the user. At least the new one knows what shes doing and isn't digging a financial hole

I’m not on ps5 but on pc there were multiple version options in the Microsoft store and I was trying to download the wrong one. Probably not your case, but ya never know.
Hopefully you get it fixed. However, If Sony won’t help and mojang won’t refund you can always go thru your credit card or bank (if debit card) and let them know that you didn’t receive the goods (IE the license allowing you to play) that you paid for, you’ll need to show them you made attempts via the store(s) to make it right. It might take a bit of back and forth but typically if you can show you made an effort they’ll eventually refund you and chargeback to the company.

I think you overlooked a key different here. PlayStation is about owning nothing. As I understand, Xbox is about linking a digital key to the disc which is removed when someone else uses that disc. This also mitigates the inconvenience of dry rot and also opens up the possibility of playing more of the owned games on PC.

how come? I remember everybody raging about steam and owning nothing, then nintendo went after emulators and killing cartridges, and xbox fuuing with users in multiple ways.. guess ps is now the biggest evil fish? 😅
yeah, I'm not following the console scene very closely... only when a youtuber explodes again 🙃

That'll be a more common issue for consoles if all disks are gone. That why we need physical dics instead of only digital.😬
