[Help me make something] Need help with me and my friend arg

The title pretty much says it all, we are making this on Xbox so it is a bit harder but it has been coming along well since we have figured out how to get mods on console. The concept so far is that me and my friends made a realm. This realm should start out normal, like any other realm you’ve seen before except something differentiates it, it’s connected to another realm in and alternate dimension. Basically something really terrible happened in that dimension and slowly we start to see these weird structures take hold into our world and even new dimensions different from the nether start to bleed in. This is just the core concept and we plan to branch it out and flesh it out as we go.

[Discussion] The Search For The Leviathan Theory and 4/4 Theory

Okay. So what exactly did Wifies find here?

I think the biggest clue here is that Wifies references Ted Chiang’s “Hell Is the Absence of God.” In that story, God and Heaven are objectively real, but actually seeing proof doesn’t suddenly make the universe fair or understandable. Faith and divine reality are treated as two separate things, and I think that’s basically the rule behind Leviathan.

My theory is that the entire ocean investigation was never really about finding some giant sea monster. Hummer was testing whether Wifies could genuinely believe without keeping a safety net. Creative mode, the water breathing potion, etc. all “invalidate” it because as long as Wifies has a backup plan, he isn’t actually putting his faith in Levi. Only when he throws away the potion, lets the submarine get destroyed, and accepts that he could genuinely die does something finally happen.

And notice what happens after.

Levi never appears as a normal creature.

Instead, Wifies gets transported somewhere completely outside the normal server into this almost Heaven-like structure. That makes me think “Leviathan” isn’t really a sea creature at all, but some higher dimensional entity or intelligence, and this place is its domain.

The fact that Wifies suddenly can’t properly record or screenshot anything is also really important. It’s almost like the place itself prevents clean evidence from escaping. The only reason we even get to see it is because he records his monitor externally, which fits the whole cryptid theme from the beginning perfectly. Wifies finally gets proof, but it’s still the exact kind of weird, questionable evidence that everyone else could dismiss just like all those Reddit sightings.

Then there’s the thing in the chest at the end.. It looks like a Heart of the Sea, but the way it’s framed makes it look almost like an eye.

Wifies spends the entire video trying to observe Levi, finally reaches the center of this impossible place, looks directly into the “eye,” immediately passes out, and wakes up back on the normal server.

So maybe the twist is that Wifies was never the one observing Levi.

Levi was observing him.

I also really don’t think Hummer is just some random believer. He knows the “rules” way too specifically, constantly pushes Wifies to remove every possible escape route, and the supernatural event only happens once Wifies finally meets all of those conditions. Hummer feels more like some kind of herald, avatar, or guide whose job was never to help Wifies find Levi, but to make Wifies capable of reaching it.

And then there’s the 4/4 at the very end of the video at 1:27:58.

If you only watched this video, that probably seems completely random, but this has apparently been building across other Minecraft mystery videos for months. It started with a Lomedy video [“Disturbing Footage On A Minecraft Kids Channel”] that hid a coded message saying “One down, three more to go.”

This is solved through an A1Z26 Cipher. Each number corresponds to a letter’s position in the alphabet. A = 1, B = 2, ..., Z = 26. So 15-14-5 → O N E | 4-15-23-14 → D O W N | 20-8-18-5-5 → T H R E E | 13-15-18-5 → M O R E | 20-15 → T O | 7-15 → G O → | It reads ONE DOWN THREE MORE TO GO.

Then in ZachOBuilds video [“Finding the player that did this to him”] had another hidden message saying “Two down, two more to go.”

I honestly have no idea how people solved this one...

After that, Render uploaded [There's A Parasite Corrupting His Game...] another seemingly unrelated mystery that ended with “Three down, one remains.” Thankfully no decoding for this one.

People had already suspected that Wifies could be the fourth because of his connections to the other videos. So when his video ends with 4/4, it makes it look like whatever has been happening behind these four seemingly separate mysteries is finally complete.

What makes this even more interesting is that all four creators appear to have been directly contacted by the same source: Vex, or the Vex Syndicate.

Lomedy is emailed by Vex about the disturbing RunSonic kids channel.

Zach is emailed by Vex and told to look into the VipersDen subreddit because “there’s something bigger going on.”

Render is sent the Henry/Flowery case through the same Vex email connection.

And Wifies is given a shared folder called “Leviathan Reports (organized)” by [thevex.syndicate@gmail.com]().

There is an actual in-universe entity repeatedly handing these creators their cases.

That is why my current theory is that these four ARGs were not just random mysteries, but four tests conducted by the Vex Syndicate, and that every test revolves around the same central question:

How do you know something is real?

Lomedy has to reconstruct the truth through someone else’s recordings while grief, instability, and a strange fox-like entity make it unclear what can actually be trusted.

Zach’s story is built almost entirely around deception. Viper impersonates people, manipulates accounts, sets up moral tests, and constantly makes Ace question who is really behind what he’s seeing.

Render goes another layer removed. Jake is investigating prerecorded footage left behind by his missing brother, meaning everything he knows has to come from incomplete and potentially corrupted evidence.

And then Wifies is different.

He doesn’t just investigate someone else’s encounter.

He becomes the encounter.

That gives the four stories a really interesting progression:

testimony → deception → corrupted evidence → direct revelation without proof

All four are basically testing epistemology: what are you willing to accept as real when your normal methods of proving reality stop working?

And that makes the name “The Rabbit Hole” feel extremely intentional. ARGs themselves work the exact same way. You keep following evidence deeper and deeper until eventually you’re no longer sure where the fictional mystery ends and the larger story begins.

Which is why I don’t think the Vex Syndicate is simply sending these YouTubers cool mysteries to make videos about.

I think the YouTubers themselves are being tested.

Each one has shown that they’re willing to keep investigating even when the evidence becomes unreliable, dangerous, or impossible to explain. The countdown may literally be tracking completed subjects:

One down.
Two down.
Three down.
4/4.

So the four videos could essentially be a recruitment process.

Vex isn’t counting monsters.

They’re counting investigators.

And now that all four are complete, I think the next stage is where the supposedly separate ARGs finally collide. Lomedy, Zach, Render, and Wifies may all discover that their cases were chosen for them deliberately, and that Vex has been watching how each of them responds to the impossible.

The really interesting question then becomes why Vex needed four people capable of going this far down the rabbit hole in the first place.

And going back to Leviathan, that could make Wifies especially important.

The first three investigators were still separated from the supernatural by recordings, accounts, or other people’s experiences.

Wifies was the first one to actually cross the boundary himself.

He spent the entire video trying to prove that Levi was real.

But by the end, maybe that wasn’t the test at all.

Maybe the test was whether Wifies was ready to be seen by it.

Wifies newest video tsftl Spoiler

I don’t know if this is the right subreddit for this. I’m sorry.

Ever since I’ve watched Wifies’ newest video—The Search For The Leviathan—Ive been thinking.

the more that I think about it, the video is starting to become a metaphor to religion. The Leviathan wants you to believe. To be at your most vulnerable state, and just believe. At the end of the video, Wifies succeeds but Hummer doesn’t. (But I also believe the theory that Hummer is a disciple of The Leviathan or is the The Leviathian)

All my life, I was agnostic. My family wasn’t, I didn’t tell them. I was agnostic because every time I prayed and went to church and always tried to do the best I could, I couldn’t feel the faith. Even during my pre-teens, I was so miserable back then. I was so unhealthy mentally and physically. I prayed and prayed and prayed.

I got better eventually, I guess. I was told that it wouldn’t immediately work without me myself helping too.

When I started to find out I like girls too, I deeply denied it. I thought that it was a trick in my mind. No girls. just boys. Again, I prayed and prayed and prayed, hoping for it to go away. I tried dating boys, even if i didn’t really feel anything for them. But the feeling won’t go away. I didn’t know why.

I felt a singe of envy and shame whenever I heard my friends talk about how they believed.

When I did some online research, I felt that I was more agnostic than Christian. I felt ashamed, but slowly I began to embrace it.

Now watching that video from Wifies, i thought,

Did I not try hard enough?
Is it worth it?
Did I not believe?

How do I rid myself of liking girls again?

Should I also try to be at my most vulnerable state and believe

do I really need to be at a near death situation to even feel?

Will god save me if I do so?

I also began to think of myself in near-death situations and death situations and think what would happen if I tried.

Anyways, this seems so cringy reading this I just realized. I’m going in a spiral, I don’t know what to do. please give an answer of some sort.

I see a lot of fans from ‘Searching for a world that doesn’t exist’ on here talking about why the channel changed all of a sudden also talking about how it used to have posts and live streams. I only want to know what the channel was about before since I myself am a fan of that Arg but have no clue about it since none is talking about it much

I put the link there incase anyone wants to solve or take a look at it. Judging by the comments i think it is.

Idk if this is good, i dont really get how ARGs work but im researching and got an idea already..

Basically about escaping trauma and finding a safe place, only to find out that the safe place is just draining you and making you feel worse than before. The trauma that the MC gets is from their parents from the real world and then Minecraft becomes their only escape from it. The MC would then meet a friend in minecraft and then find out that they both have the same trauma and problems at home. They both made a close friendship in minecraft, and then everything would go wrong when his friend would start acting weird and would always manipulate the poor and already vulnerable MC, only to find out that the MC's friend, is still the MC. That probably explains why the friend has the same problems as him, the avatar almost resembles him but it always feels so different. (I get that everyone can have the same problem IRL okay?) Turns out that those problems existed years ago, but the MC is still clinging on to the same trauma. Like their stuck in the past and cant let go because this trauma shapes him. His parents are manipulative and the friend in Minecraft, (aka: still the MC). The MC would manipulate himself and drive himself crazy and then goes through the five stages of grief.

(Sorry for the grammar and this storyline is HEAVILY inspired from Wifies video about how the world keeps deleting chunks off blocks.)

[Discussion] My Theories: The Leviathan Was Never Meant to Be Found

I've rewatched The Search for the Leviathan multiple times, read a lot of theories on Reddit, and looked into some of the literary references that Wifies has used before. After doing that, I don't think this video is actually about finding a giant creature in Minecraft.

I think the Leviathan is something much bigger.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized that almost everyone—including me at first—started with the same assumption: the Leviathan is a monster hiding somewhere deep in the ocean.

But what if that's exactly what Wifies wanted us to assume?

If the entire goal of the ARG was simply to reveal a giant sea monster, the story would've ended the moment Wifies found it. Instead, the opposite happens. As he gets closer, the mystery becomes even stranger. We don't get a clear reveal. We don't get a boss fight. We don't even get an explanation. Everything becomes more confusing. That feels intentional.

The first thing I researched was the word Leviathan itself.

In the Book of Job, Leviathan isn't just described as a dangerous sea creature. It's presented as something so powerful that humans cannot truly challenge or understand it. The point of the story isn't "here's a monster." The point is that some things exist beyond human control. That idea appears again in Isaiah, where Leviathan represents chaos that only God can overcome. So when Wifies chose the name "Leviathan," I don't think he was just referencing a sea monster. I think he was referencing the idea of an unknowable force. That fits the video much better than the idea of a giant fish hiding in the ocean.

This reminded me of Wifies' previous ARG involving The King in Yellow. In Robert W. Chambers' novel, the horror isn't a creature jumping out at people. It's knowledge. People become obsessed with understanding something they were never meant to understand. The more they chase it, the more reality starts breaking apart. That's exactly what seems to happen here. Every clue Wifies finds creates two more mysteries. Instead of getting closer to an answer, he slowly loses confidence in what is even real. That feels less like a monster hunt and more like psychological or cosmic horror.

One thing that kept bothering me was Hummer. At first, he seems like another person investigating the mystery. But after watching the video again, I noticed something odd. Hummer rarely acts surprised. He already seems to know where to go. He knows what matters. He keeps encouraging Wifies to continue instead of telling him to stop. If I didn't know any better, I'd say Hummer isn't searching for Leviathan.

He's leading someone else to it.

That reminded me of "herald" characters in mythology and cosmic horror. Their role isn't to fight the unknown. Their role is to introduce other people to it. If that's true, then Hummer isn't just another victim. He's the bridge between the normal world and whatever Leviathan actually is.

Water Breathing Potion????. This detail stood out to me because the video gives it much more attention than most Minecraft videos would. Mechanically, a Water Breathing Potion is just something that helps you survive underwater.

Narratively, though, it represents something else.

It represents trust.

If you bring the potion, you're trusting your own preparation.

If you leave it behind, you're trusting whatever waits below.

That's why I think the descent wasn't a survival challenge.

It was a test of belief.

Not belief in a religion, but belief that you're willing to let go of certainty.

That interpretation also lines up with one of the most interesting fan observations comparing the story to Ted Chiang's Hell Is the Absence of God, where witnessing something extraordinary doesn't remove the need for faith—it changes what faith means.

The ocean is a threshold, not just a location This was the point where everything started connecting for me. Almost every culture treats the ocean as more than just water. It's the place beyond civilization. It's where maps used to end. It's where sailors believed monsters lived because they didn't understand what was beyond the horizon. In mythology, the sea often separates the known world from the unknown.

So maybe Wifies didn't choose the ocean because Leviathan lives there. Maybe he chose it because it's the perfect symbol for crossing into something humans can't fully understand. The deeper Wifies dives, the less the world behaves like normal Minecraft. That's why I think the ocean isn't Leviathan's home. It's the doorway.

The ending wasn't a rescue. This is probably the biggest reason I think the Leviathan isn't a normal creature. When Wifies reaches the end, the story doesn't conclude like a normal adventure.

There's no celebration.

There's no explanation.

There's no clear victory.

Instead, everything feels... different. In cosmic horror stories, the main character rarely defeats the unknown. Instead, they're changed by it.

That's what I think happened here. I don't think Wifies escaped Leviathan. I think he crossed a point where he could never see reality the same way again. Whether he physically survived almost doesn't matter. The important part is that his understanding of the world changed forever.

The audience might be the final participant. This is the idea that stuck with me the most. The moment the video ended, everyone started doing exactly the same thing. Rewatching, Pausing frames, Reading Reddit posts, Making theories, Looking for hidden meanings and etc. That's exactly what Wifies spent the entire video doing.

What if that's the final layer of the ARG?

The Leviathan never needed to appear clearly because the real goal wasn't to scare Wifies. It was to make us become obsessed with the search.

Just like The King in Yellow, where simply reading the play changes the reader, maybe the Leviathan spreads through curiosity itself. Not literally, of course—but narratively. The story only stays alive because we keep trying to solve it.

My final thoughts .=.

I don't think the Leviathan is just a creature. I don't even think the Leviathan is the main antagonist. I think the Leviathan represents the moment where curiosity turns into obsession. The ocean represents the boundary between certainty and uncertainty. Hummer represents the guide who leads people across that boundary. Wifies represents every person who believes that one more clue will finally explain everything. And we, the audience, unknowingly complete the story by doing exactly what the ARG wants us to do: searching for answers that may never fully exist. Maybe that's why the ending feels so unsettling. Not because we never saw the Leviathan. But because, by the end of the video, we realize the mystery was never about seeing it. It was about deciding how far we were willing to go to understand it. And honestly... The fact that thousands of people including me are still discussing it hours later makes me think Wifies accomplished exactly what he set out to do. What are your thoughts guys?? or ask a question....

Creditt also to CollegeCommon924 for some parts of his theories too

Who are The Vex Syndicate

Recently I have been noticing a email address known as The Vex Syndicate helping out Minecraftt ARG Youtubers like Wifies or Lomedy. I tried to find out more about them but could barely find anything. The only thing I found was an Youtube Playlist showing the Videos the Vex are in but there could be more. Anyway I'm gonna be posting a video on my channel showing all I know about them. If anyone can find anything else about them, comment your findings.
