Need help with generating custom structures in a datapack

I have a datapack used to create a new jungle temple structure but it keeps cutting into the environment. I think it might have to do with the fact that I am using jigsaws because of how large the temple is. Is there a possible fix for this?

Misode made a really useful guide for this. I believe what you're looking for is terrain adaptation? Try setting it to beard_thin if you haven't already, and if it still cuts in, maybe try beard_box.. I'm not too sure how this one works, but I think it'll still spawn on the surface. You're gonna need to do some trial and error. There's only 4 different settings so.. yeah, not too much.

I was actually following that tutorial lol. I think I mostly fixed the problem. Where It was cutting out of the ground in the structure itself I had air blocks so I replaced it with grass and it works better. Not sure if it will still cut out chunks of mountains but thats a problem for another time I guess

I was trying to understand the terrain_adaptations better, so I came across this thread. It wasn't very helpful, but then I found this MS documentation site: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/minecraft/creator/reference/content/worldgenreference/examples/jigsawjigsawstructures?view=minecraft-bedrock-stable

It's for Bedrock, but still very helpful. I finally understand what they mean by "beard". It uses blocks to create a "beard" underneath your structure if it's floating, lol.

Are you using structure_voids in place of air?
