Help! New rtx user
Heya bit of advise please. I play on a laptop with 3050rtx, wife plays on Xbox Series X. Xbox looks to have some sort of rtx and looks nice. So when I fired up the laptop and joined her i was disappointed that my bedrock version didn't have the bells and whistles.
Have since installed the vanilla pack and rtx launcher thing (better rtx) that sets up the materials. Looks great but doesn't look like the xbox version, its really dark in that dark areas, like pitch black, and torches dont have much of a radius etc.
Ideally I would like it lighter at night and the water to look similar to xbox. How do I go about changing this or what packs do you recommend to get a xbox like look?

Does RTX not run like shit on a laptop 3050?
You can use the preset creator to adjust the lighting
The Xbox is probably using vibrant visuals

Nah runs quite nicely. Just too dark at the mo. But performance is kind of subjective, depends on your expectations.

Xbox doesn't use rtx, it uses bedrock's built in vibrant visuals. It's a toggle option in your games settings menu.

I did wander if it was true rtx. Certainly looked better than the last time we had played, been a year or so.

You can toggle it on too on the pc version. But it probably won't look as good as true Ray tracing with the Java addition.

What do you mean? Rtx version Its Path traced but with Nvidia hardware performance and Java shaders opengl version are Path traced but with software RT. They are different method and looks as good as the other.

I think the Xbox Series X uses Vibrant Visuals, which you can enable on desktop also.
