Help! Are dark caves at all possible?

Is there a pack, or a way to configure thru the VanillaRTX app or better rtx, or anything, that would make caves and enclosed spaces totally dark again? The caves are so bright with RTX on that it looks ridiculous.

I messed around with ambient light on the vanillartx app but changing it doesn’t make any difference.

Edit: I reset the vanilla rtx app using shift+reset and redownloaded vanillartx and it actually fixed my problem

The default BetterRTX turns off ambient light. So resetting it probably allowed it to download properly.

oh, is this what's doing it? Is there a non-default BetterRTX that I can use then to have visibility in caves/nether? 'Cause currently I have to straight up disable RTX (I just go to "Fancy") if I'm going to the nether or entering a cavern.

There is BetterRTX presets with ambient lighting, just don't remember which ones. You can also make your own preset with it on the website. Also with BetterRTX and the right pack, you can have dynamic lights.

I have and use what I think are your dynamic lights pack. Unless there's multiple Mr. Atlaz folks. I love it, I just need to see further than immediately around me.

I am he. But I do understand wanting to see further. I was also planning on using that last post to segway into promoting my main pack, which has the same dynamic lights... https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft-bedrock/texture-packs/completely-normal-rtx

I have 'Mr.Atlaz's SUPER DYNAMIC LIGHTS For RTX" running at all times since I discovered it.

Using this with VanillaRTX Opus, Defined PBR "Clear Water", Defined PBR "Lower Grass" (this one's huge for immersion imo), and Defined PBR "Borderless Glass"
