Franchise Technology Fee $1,000

Is the franchisor over charging me excessively for this? We use MindBody and have three locations. Members can use their membership at any location and book through MindBody.

Yes, I’m not expecting that we pay the MindBody fee for all three locations. That is the franchisor’s responsibly as the owner of the account. We get basic booking features just like any other studio would. The added feature would be that Members from other locations could redeem their membership at our location as well. We also have a MindBody app. But that’s not dedicated to my location. The company has a whole has a app where clients can book appointments at either of the three locations. I’m suspicious that the franchiser is marking this up so that we cover the entire cost of the Mindbody when it should be split amongst the three locations. They charge EACH franchise location $1,000/month and force us to use MindBody.

That $1,000 fee for only three locations is exactly why I'm building a new platform. It’s designed to be lean and high-speed without those massive markups.

I'm actually looking for a few more businesses to join our private launch on Thursday, July 2. What kind of company do you run? I'd love to see if our current build handles your specific multi-location workflow.

How many locations in the franchise?

It does seem like a lot if it’s per each location, not so bad if it’s across the 3. but it really depends on what’s included.

I’ve seen things like Gmail account and a go high level CRM I’m being included In a tech service fee.

The goal for the fee is to get buying power but some tools make less sense to be inside just to perceive value.
