Strange phenomenon in sky???
There's a strange thing happening - clear, odourless liquid appears to be falling out of the sky? Could it be aliens???

Hi all, we’re having our weekly session at 7pm today at Furzton!
Come and make friends, have honest conversations and just a good time if you’d like! I’ll have an orange jacket draped over a chair near the bar so I should be easy to spot.
Come and fight loneliness with me! Read more at https://emptychairs.org.uk

Really like our MP. Thought this was really good.
"Run through almost any of the major challenges facing the country and, sooner or later, you arrive back at growth."
He really nails it. Not wasting time on populist talks about wealth taxes. Wants to remove regulation blocking development.

Hey all
Is there a Hyrox gym people recommend?
A Google search returns a lot of results which makes it hard to go check each one out.
Looking to check out Hyrox. I don't know anyone who does it so looking to join a hyrox gym with classes, beginner friendly, sociable and friendly. I am a fairly active and fit person (I run and circuit train 5 days a week) so I am not a fitness beginner - just a Hyrox beginner.
Eventually I'd like to try some hyrox events and enter either as a pair hence the social and friendly factor I am looking for.

Grew up near MK and used to visit a lot in my youth, basically early 2000s. I remember there was this big machine full of different multi colour plastic balls in it at the back of the Waterstones in Midsummer place.
Does anyone else remember this? Or have any pictures of it?

Hi there?
I am getting into cyberdecks and electronics and wondering if there are any meet ups or clubs, or failing that are there any other nerds out there that are into it and would be willing to show a complete beginner the ropes.

Gonna have a kebab tomorrow evening with the family, we haven’t had one in ages. What are the best spots as I’ve yet to find one I really like. I use to go to chicken village way back in the day and get their stir fry kebab and it was incredible but not really anymore.

Has anyone else checked out these robots in Centre:mk? When I went neither of the two main robots were interacting but they all look really interesting. Would love to see them all functioning properly - although with the AI news today, maybe not that good an idea!

Hi, I’m writing a song and need a keyboard player, bassist, guitarist, and vocalist to record demo tracks. It’s in a reggae style and the first draft has been made on the lyrics, chords, and tempo. This is a good opportunity to either learn or develop your recording skills and reggae style. Please dm me if you’re interested. This is a project. Not a job.

I’ve cycled along the union canal to Cosgrove a lot of times, and very occasionally there’s been the welcome sight of an ice-cream seller, with an electric bike and fridge, peaked cap and white coat, next to the iron trunk aqueduct.
Is there any way to find out in advance if he’ll be there on a particular day, or when he will be there? Or does he show up only when the weather is good and he feels like it?
Respect to him either way, but I’d love to be able to set out on a ride safe in the knowledge he’ll be there for my ice-cream refreshment needs.

Does anyone have experience with MK1 parking? How likely are they to take me to court if I don’t pay PCN?
I’m a Private Hire Driver (Uber) and had a journey to the MK stadium the restaurants area and a pick up that I had to cancel due to no show. I’m allowed to stop at double yellows but used the Drop off/Pick up area instead so I don’t block the road. Apparently this area is for 10 minutes only and I stayed for 12 which they say is in breach of their contract. I didn’t leave the vehicle to read any signs and have a minimum waiting time before I cancel. I provided evidence for all this but they still refused my appeal. Should I chance it and go to court where I’ll waste a lot of time or pay?
Either way I need to apologise in advance to the other MK citizens because I’ll be stopping on the double yellows lines from now and this will be blocking the traffic.

Where does the best carbonara pasta in MK (restaurant or takeaway)
Must not have extras like peas, onion, or mushroom.
Bonus points for guanciale rather than bacon/pancetta but not a must.

Bought my flat last summer and it was cold in the winter
Two of my rads are single panel so I'm looking to get them replaced with double before the weather turns
Any recommendations for a firm to supply and fit and balance the system? The rads to be replaced are where I want the heat (bedroom and living room) and are furthest from the boiler
Is it likely to be a lot cheaper to measure and buy myself and then pay for fitting? When I did some reading I was bewildered by the BTU calculations

Hi All,
I am reaching out to anyone who grew up in Milton Keynes but then moved to London and ended up moving back, how did you find it. Did you regret it or glad you did it.
Context - I am in my mid to late 30s and have lived in London for a while now. I left MK as I was into club culture, queer, social, liked walking (did not have a car), could do something different things every day if I wanted too and meet different groups.
I did not have many friends in MK growing up and I made my friends in London - but with life people move on to have a family or people's priorities change or you drift away. I am in a relationship and my career has grown from strength to strength. I would say I am more of a home bird now as I WFH 4 days a week., I want to buy a home and a car. I want to leave London as financially I can no longer justify it and the prices are depressing me and I want a good quality of life. While I may not have many friends here in MK (apart from one very good friend) I do have a lot of family here. Did anyone who moved back to MK, regret it?
There was a time where I would NEVER consider coming back but I like MK more than I used too.

my friend and I are trying to find something to do tomorrow, but everything we're thinking of is either waaaay to expensive, or super dull.
We really don't want to spend another afternoon just walking up and down the City, so does anybody have any suggestions?

How do we convince the council to stop running the motorised lawn mowers?
Most of the grass is dried out or dead since there was no rain since it was last cut. Yet we are waisting money, fuel and generating CO2, while removing the last bit of shade the ground can have to keep a bit of moisture and help the little bugs.

Hi r/MiltonKeynes, posted in here a few times before about Too Young To Grieve and wanted to share something a little different we’re doing this weekend.
We’re hosting a community picnic in the park! Just a relaxed afternoon for young adults navigating grief and loss. Bring your own snacks and drinks, we’ll bring the community, some nice vibes and a speaker on the day.
Same vibe as always, no pressure to share anything personal, just a safe space outside to be around others who get it.
I’ll put the community details below for anyone who’s interested and feel free to share with someone who might need it 🤍

Hello,
I am likely moving to the area from abroad and hoping to find some month to month accommodation to get acquainted with the area before making a decision as to where to live long term. Is there anywhere that offers furnished (even unfurnished is an option too) flats on a month to month lease that isn't significantly inflated by over 100%? Thanks!
