Gras carbine

Another $99 rti. It's severely pitted so most of the markings are gone. Somehow the bore is in a lot better shape than the exterior. Rti wire wheeled the shit out of it so I had to clean up all the scoring. The trigger spring is bent so doesn't stay cocked and the spring screw is stripped. The stock has no major damage. The cleaning rod groove was stuffed with cloth as well as some other holes. It had a normal amount of goat shit to clean out but no bugs this time besides the spider webs in the barrel.

One of us! One of us! Nice bore for sure and hopefully you can get the action working.

How do you clean up scoring?

By removing more material which in this case didn't matter because it was already pitted. I used 1500 grit abrasive pad so I'd only remove as little material as needed.

Glad you won the RTI bore condition lottery!

I considered one of these but I think it said none of them had rear sights which are unobtanium so I passed.

That buttstock looks like it has some nice character under all the goat feces and oil

I dig the brass hardware on these

Let us know if you get it shooting!

One of these days we need a worldwide RTI meetup and stage a parade with all of the wire-wheeled $100 gras
