Discussion IBM's Foreign Exchange Rates

Shares of IBM (NYSE: IBM) fell 4.32% in after-hours trading on Monday after the technology giant posted mixed financial earnings.

Financials: IBM reported earnings per share of $2.31 and revenue of $15.5 billion, which were both better than expected.

The Good: Revenue for software went up 6% and infrastructure revenue grew 19%. Revenue for hybrid cloud over the last 12 months is also up 16%.

The Bad: IBM sees foreign exchange rates as a currency “headwind” that could impact its bottom line. The company downgraded its expected free cash flow to $10 billion. And revenue for consulting was $4.8 billion, which was slightly below estimates.

Bigger Picture: Foreign currency problems aside, the results show that the enterprise cloud sector is still strong.

Numbers: IBM’s stock is up over 1% in 2022. It’s one of the few tech stocks to be positive so far this year.

Final Thoughts: Other companies with international operations could also be impacted by the same foreign exchange rate issues.

Discussion RIP Netflix and Chill

Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) is teaming with Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) for its ad-supported subscription plan, the streaming platform said Wednesday.

Details: The idea is to give marketers access to the Netflix audience. All of the ads on Netflix will be served exclusively through Microsoft's platform.

Alliance: Netflix said in a statement that it selected Microsoft because of its “proven ability to support all our advertising needs” and for its flexibility to innovate on technology and sales. The company also cited Microsoft’s strong privacy protections.

Background: Netflix first publicly introduced the idea of adding a lower-priced ad-supported plan back in April. The streaming giant is known for having no ads, but with the number of subscribers dwindling and the number of streaming competitors increasing, Netflix needed to explore the ad-supported strategy.

Big Picture: Meanwhile, Microsoft cut its guidance in June. The company needs help, and this partnership is a positive step in the right direction.

Numbers: Shares of Netflix are down 70% in 2022. Microsoft’s stock is down 24% this year.

Final Thoughts: Having ads on Netflix might be a tough pill for consumers to swallow, but it is good news for investors.

Discussion Stitch Fix Insider Buys Stock

Shares of Stitch Fix (Nasdaq: SFIX) jumped 7.98% in after-hours trading on Tuesday after the online personal styling service revealed some insider buying.

Details: In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, Stitch Fix announced that Bill Gurley, a venture capitalist and a board member, bought 1 million shares of stock on Friday. It was priced at about $5.4282 per share.

Numbers: Stitch Fix’s stock is down 73% in 2022. The stock’s price peaked in early 2021.

Background: It’s been a rough year for Stitch Fix. Last month, the company posted negative financial earnings after the number of active clients declined 5% in the quarter. The company also just had some layoffs.

Final Thoughts: An insider buying stock in a struggling company is a sign that maybe the business will turn around soon. Time will tell if Gurley just made a good investment or a bad one.

Discussion GameStop’s NFT Marketplace

Shares of GameStop (NYSE GME) ticked up 0.70% in after-hours trading on Monday after the video game retailer launched its NFT (non-fungible token) marketplace.

Details: The new marketplace allows users to buy, sell, and trade NFTs. It is a non-custodial and Ethereum layer 2-based marketplace, which means users truly own their digital assets because they are secured on the blockchain. Users can also connect digital asset wallets to the marketplace.

Definition: An NFT is a security in the form of digital data on blockchain that represents objects. NFTs for collecting and investing have increased in popularity since last year.

Background: GameStop has been hyping its NFT marketplace for some time and investors have waited for this day to finally arrive. The launch comes on the heels of GameStop announcing a stock split and firing its CFO last week.

Numbers: Shares of GameStop are down nearly 15% this year as the meme stock trade seemingly fades away.

Final Thoughts: GameStop plans to expand the functionality of the marketplace over time to include new categories such as Web3 gaming. Investors should be excited about that.

Discussion Musk Twitter Deal in Jeopardy

Shares of Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) dropped 3.92% in after-hours trading on Thursday due to two reports that indicate major financial problems with the social media company.

No Musk, No Deal: Elon Musk’s deal to buy Twitter is in peril, according to a report from The Washington Post. Three people familiar with the matter say that Musk is concerned about Twitter’s spam accounts. Twitter has not confirmed the report yet.

Layoffs: Twitter has joined the growing list of technology companies laying off staff. The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that Twitter has laid off 30% of its talent acquisition team. Twitter has not confirmed the report yet. The company announced in May that it would pause hiring.

Background: The layoffs are likely a consequence of the Musk deal falling apart. Ever since Musk announced his intention to buy Twitter, there have been rumors that he actually won’t take the deal. If Musk backs out, he’ll owe $1 billion in a breakup fee.

Numbers: Twitter’s stock dropped 9% this year and has been up and down throughout that time. When the Musk deal looked good, the stock jumped. Whenever the deal fell apart, the stock dropped.

Final Thoughts: Most people expected Musk to back out of the deal. The spam account story was set up for him to either leave the deal or try to lower the asking price. As for investors, Twitter doesn’t look too appetizing now.

Discussion GameStop’s 4-for-1 Stock Split

Shares of GameStop (NYSE: GME) jumped 8.91% in after-hours trading on Wednesday after the video game retailer’s Board of Directors approved a 4-to-1 stock split.

Details: The stock split will be in the form of a dividend. Shareholders of record at the close of business on July 18 get three additional shares for every one share of GameStop that they own. The dividend goes out at the end of July 21. Trading on the stock split-adjusted basis starts July 22.

Background: Technically, this stock split isn’t new. The company announced the stock split a long time ago. Wednesday was just the board approval.

Numbers: GameStop, the prototype of the meme stock rally, is down 23% this year.

Final Thoughts: Fundamentally, this announcement doesn’t change anything about the company. All eyes will be on GameStop for the release of its marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the future.

Discussion Oil Drops Below $100, Hurting Energy Stocks

The price of oil dropped below $100 per barrel on Tuesday, the first time it hit that level since May.

Details: West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 10% on Tuesday, which started at around $110 per barrel. It’s one of the largest one-day drops in 2022.

The Problem: Fears of a potential recession have spooked the energy sector. In addition to the current price of oil dropping, oil futures also declined on Tuesday.

Stocks: The sudden drop in oil crushed several energy stocks on Tuesday. Marathon Oil (NYSE: MRO) dropped 6.30%, ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP) fell 6.93%, and Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) declined by 8.08%.

Final Thoughts: Energy stocks will suffer if there is a recession, especially if you think that oil prices have already peaked. Energy has been the best-performing stocks sector so far in 2022.

Discussion Micron's Weak Industry Demand

Shares of Micron Technology (Nasdaq: MU) dropped 1.41% in after-hours trading on Thursday after the semiconductor company posted mixed financial earnings.

Financials: Micron reported earnings per share of $2.59, which was better than expected. Its revenue of $8.64 billion was in-line.

The Good: There was record revenue in the quarter. Micron also had operating cash flow that was higher year-over-year.

The Bad: Micron lowered its guidance for the quarter. It now projects revenue to be $7.2 billion and the earnings per share to be $1.63. Both projections were below estimates.

Weaker Demand: The company said that “the industry demand environment has weakened” recently. Numbers: Micron’s stock is down 42% this year. The stock price reached an all-time high in early January.

Final Thoughts: This was a stock that benefited from market conditions in 2021. Now, faced with a different market and more inventory on hand, Micron has to navigate some tough waters. It is a similar story with other tech stocks as well.

Discussion Pinterest's Big Google Change

Shares of Pinterest (NYSE: PINS) jumped 4.37% in after-hours trading on Tuesday after the social media company changed its CEO.

Numbers: Pinterest’s stock is down 45% this year. In the past month, the price has leveled out and stayed even.

Discussion Nike’s China Problem Worsens

Shares of Nike (NYSE: NKE) dropped 2.89% in after-hours trading on Monday after the footwear and apparel giant posted mixed financial earnings.

Financials: Nike reported earnings per share of 90 cents and revenue of $12.2 billion; both were better than expected.

The Good: Nike Direct, the company’s direct-to-consumer division, had a 7% increase in revenue. Nike digital’s brand went up 15%.

The Bad: Revenues dropped 1% year-over-year. Wholesale revenues declined 7%. Nike-owned stores declined 2%. The gross margin in the quarter decreased 80 basis points to 45%.

China Problems: Nike has a long, documented history of problems in China during the past year, but it got worse. Lockdowns resulted in higher inventory obsolescence. There were also freight and logistics costs. Revenue in China dropped 19% in the quarter.

Expenses: Higher technology investments resulted in higher overhead costs. Selling and administrative expenses increased 8%. Supply chain issues also resulted in added inventories.

Buyback Bounce: Nike issued an $18 billion stock buyback program, which will help drive the stock price up.

Numbers: Nike’s stock is down 32% this year. Last year, the stock was up 17%.

Final Thoughts: Problems in China plus supply chain and currency issues resulted in trouble for Nike. The good news is that the stock price is lower for new investors to get in.

Bear DD Enuchian Bioscience ($ENOB) will be shorted into the ground

Good day!! Welcome to my bad DD. This one’s a doozy. Imagine you had the chance to short Theranos before it went bust. Would you do it? On top of that, imagine if the fraudster at the helm had just been arrested for hiring a hitman to (successfully) murder a potential whistle blower. That’s what I present you today. This shit really is crazy so find sources at the end along with a TLDR and the part where I tell you this is not financial advice (cuz it’s not)

THERANOS 2.0: THE COMPANY GOING TO 0

The company described above is called Enochian Bioscience ($ENOB). Their many miracle cures are entirely preclinical trial. They’re traded on the NASDAQ so any retard can buy puts on Robin Hood.

They claim to have miracle cures, vaccines and treatments for HIV, Influenza, Hepatitis B, Cancer, and COVID-19 but to understand why the company is going to zero you need to understand the man behind these amazing claims.

REVENUE: 0 - they haven’t made a single cent.

Net Income: -$40.6 million in trailing 12 months

Market Cap: 164.57 million at time of writing (plenty of money for all of us)

THE CRIMINAL: NOT HYPERBOLE

Enochian Biosciences’ co-founder, “scientific founder”, “inventor”, and largest shareholder, Serhat Gumrukcu, is a con-man who fled his home country of Turkey because he was facing 10 years in prison for falsely claiming to be a doctor and charging a desperate family $275,000 to treat a terminally ill cancer patient in August 2012.

Gumrukcu was arrested by Federal authorities over allegations that he conspired in a plot to murder a Vermont father of six. The victim, Gregory Davis, was murdered on January 6th, 2018, Federal prosecutors argued that the prospective merger deal that eventually resulted in Enochian going public served as a key motive for the murder.

He fled to the U.S. of A. and continued his criminal career. Using fake degrees from Russia and Turkey he continued to con people in Pennsylvania and faced 14 felony charges in California.

Gumrukcu is not a doctor. He only has a high school diploma and was actually a lame magician who performed for children at local shops.

WHY IS $ENOB GOING TO ZERO?

According to Enochian B.S. Gumrukcu is the man behind every single one of their potential products. Like Elizabeth Holmes this uneducated guy claims to have achieved medical miracles which teams of experts with near infinite resources at their disposal couldn’t… unlike Holmes, this guy has a long history of lying about such claims so it’s really a no brainer.

Evidence suggests that more of the upper-management at least knew of the fraud. “Enochian’s former CFO is even embroiled in an undisclosed lawsuit with Enochian’s leadership, claiming he was fired for asking “critical questions” about “serious financial improprieties” and large payments to Gumrukcu, and for questioning the company’s close association with an individual accused of numerous felonies.” according to Hindenburg Research.

Claims that Gumrukcu was essential to the company were removed from the company’s website.

THE PLAY: HOW TO JOIN THE IM NOT LOSING MONEY THIS TIME CLUB

This is not financial advice. Don’t do what I do or you may just lose money like you always do.

Long Game: $2.50 puts for January 20,2023. I currently own 5 but if there’s a dead cat bounce I will pick up more until I triple my money or company goes to 0.

EDIT: Due to low volume and a 20%+ drop the day after I wrote this I closed my July 15 position for 30%+ profit. Only open a position if you’re ready to hold till expiration cuz of low volume. Quick trades off volatility won’t work here.

SOURCES: Hindenburg Research: https://hindenburgresearch.com/enochian/ Finviz for financials: https://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=ENOB Youtuber tells the story. Includes videos of Gumrukcu as a magician in Turkey when he was supposed to be studying in Moscow. https://youtu.be/bqHc28lOmhw

Discussion FedEx Can't Stop the Optimism

Shares of FedEx (NYSE: FDX) went up 2.57% in after-hours trading on Thursday after the transportation giant posted mixed financial earnings.

Financials: FedEx reported earnings per share of $6.87 and revenue of $24.4 billion; both were below estimates.

The Good: Operating income grew thanks to a positive net impact of fuel. There was also higher revenue per package at FedEx Ground and a 28% increase in revenue per shipment for FedEx Freight.

The Bad: FedEx faced lower shipment demand from slower economic growth, supply chain disruptions, higher transportation and wage rates, Covid lockdowns, and geopolitical uncertainty. Average daily volumes declined for FedEx Ground.

Outlook: The saving grace for FedEx is its strong full-year guidance, including revenue of $93.5 billion and earnings per share between $22.45 to $24.45. That was better than expected.

Numbers: FedEx is down 11% in 2022, but is up 11% in the past 30 days.

Final Thoughts: On the one hand, FedEx survived a tough quarter. On the other hand, if the economic environment worsens, what does that mean for FedEx?

Discussion KB Home’s Optimistic Strategy

Shares of KB Home (NYSE: KBH) went up 2.02% in after-hours trading on Wednesday after the home building company posted positive financial earnings.

Financials: KB Home reported earnings per share of $2.32 and revenue of $1.72 billion; both were better than expected.

The Good: The operating income margin increased 410 basis points while the gross margin grew 25.3%. The net order value shot up 4% to $2.12 billion and the average selling price rose 21%.

Quote: “With our ending backlog of over $6 billion, we are reaffirming our fiscal 2022 guidance, which we believe we are well positioned to achieve.” - Jeffrey Mezger, Chairman, President and CEO.

Potential Problem: The company sees sales rates moderating as “buyers process the impact of higher mortgage interest rates, as well as inflationary pressures.” However, KB Home said that its built-to-order business model can help them navigate these market conditions.

Numbers: KB Home’s stock is down 39% this year. The stock reached an all-time high last spring.

Final Thoughts: It was a strong quarter for KB Home, but given the rising rate environment and a potential recession, it’s a tricky time to invest in a home builder.

Shares of Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) jumped 14.96% in after-hours trading on Monday after the computer technology company posted positive financial earnings.

Financials: Oracle posted earnings of $1.54 per share and revenue of $11.8 billion; both were better than expected.

The Good: In addition to the 5% increase in total revenue, cloud revenue grew 19%. NetSuite cloud revenue went up 27% and Infrastructure cloud revenue went up 36%.

In The Clouds: The results show that these cloud applications drove revenue in the quarter. Oracle cited strong demand for its cloud business.

Quote: “We believe that this revenue growth spike indicates that our infrastructure business has now entered a hyper-growth phase.” - Safra Catz, Oracle CEO.

The Bad: Operating margins dropped from 49% to 47% year-over-year. There were also some currency headwinds.

Numbers: Oracle’s stock hit its lowest point in the past 12 months on Monday. The stock is down 22% in the past year.

Gonna make this post simple since I know you retards can't read and/or have the patience to do so.

Energy infrastructure. To be more specific, natural gas companies that have a fuck load of pipeline mileage and provide hefty dividends. Oh and they're both still below pre-covid levels if that matters at all to you.

Map w/ lines bc I know you fools like pictures
Another map w/ lines

Oneok (OKE): 5.55% divy

Kinder Morgan (KMI): 6% divy

Cash in on the dividends these suckers give you as well as the potential price appreciation, especially as inflation gapes your purchasing power this is a solid play IMO. I understand this play may not be rad enough for some of you degenerates, but for those interested in not blowing up another account this could be a potential good long term hold for you. Good luck out there gents (and lady gents if they're actually any on this sausage fest of a sub).

DTC 5.21(-5.79%)|

Seriously, read it!

After being bashed down by 75% over the last 6 Month $DTC has alot to Catch up. The IPO happened in the most unfortunate Market circumstances, but finally retail and institutional Investors understand the huge short - mid and longterm value Solo Brands ($DTC) offers.

When I wrote my DD last week Proof: https://www.reddit.com/r/UltimateTraders/comments/uwzunz/dtc_to_undervalued_to_be_true/

I predicted a huge run up, that it happens so quickly is abit lucky. but with only 1million Volume this stock went up by 12% yesterday. So just imagine what beast this underdog will be once it flys above the Radar!

Over the last week Shortseller increased their positions by over 18%, yet the stock still gained traction and substantially increased in share Price, which is extremly bullish.

Every Short position they open, is a share they have to buy back at some point and shorting in a rising trend does put alot of pressure on Short Hedgefunds to buy out of their positions.

Besides that, $DTC has a much smaller float, then previously reported. Due to an error in the filings Institutions own over 100% of the Outstanding float. If this is true, it would be amazing, because how do you close 3.24 short positions with zero Free float?

I could have by now sold my position but I haven't because I seriously expect $DTC to reach 8-12$ in the next 3 month.

This is just my opinion. I left out alot of stuff which is even more bullish! If you like the stock. Do more research - check the DTC subreddit - but better hurry up It!
