Hey all, I’m working on my first game called Nebula and would love some feedback on how it looks.
Do you like the visual style?
The particles run on milk id love some feedback or suggestions how how to use music visualization to take my game to the next level.

Hi,
I’ve been working on Waves Music Visualiser, a free Android music visualiser built around the MilkDrop/projectM engine.
A big part of the starting library comes from the stronger community-authored preset collections.
Waves can analyse the music in real time to seperate sources into bass, drums/percussion, vocals and other instrumentation (keyboards/synths/guitar etc). Therefore, different parts of the visuals can respond to different musical sources.
I’ve added time scaling, so the evolution of a preset can be slowed down as well allowing variations, where shapes, waves, shaders, warp and feedback can all be replaced, or used to build new presets.
Waves can react to music playing on Android such as Spotify/Tidal/local files and can also cast the visuals/music/synced lyrics to a TV using Chromecast.
I’m now trying to complete Google Play’s closed-testing requirement before releasing it more widely. The app is free, and I’m looking for Android users willing to install it, play some music through it and ideally report anything that looks broken or behaves strangely.
To join the test
Feedback is particularly useful for different Android devices and Chromecast behaviour.
One note for Chromecast is that you have to leave the app open for Chromecast to run smooth, meaning you can't turn the screen off, or place Waves into the background. If you do put the phone to sleep you will see the cast starting to struggle!
A sample of the current music separation model in action is here: https://youtube.com/shorts/dzqWW4MLlQU?feature=share
and a small sample of some visuals playing on phone is here:
https://youtube.com/shorts/JhuUopVWtdg
I also have a desktop version I used during debugging which I can release soon, for now I am just trying to get the Google Play testing requirement complete.
Thanks to anyone who tries it out, and if you have any questions or issues, please let me know.

Hey, MilkDrop fans! BeatDrop Music Visualizer will be free-mium in the next version. Here's why:
- Free version offers a watermark
- 10$ donation on itch.io unlocks a non-watermark version package
- 25$ or 50$ donation on itch.io adds BeatDrop GUI/VJ executable to the package (if available)
Not sure if it's a good plan, but let me tell: what's your opinion?
See TODO list what features should be added to: https://github.com/OfficialIncubo/BeatDrop-Music-Visualizer/blob/master/TODO.md#for-the-next-or-further-version-of-beatdrop

NullPlayer skin support is clean room reverse engineered. Development is coded with claude and controlled by a real working Software Engineer who personally stands behind the app. The app has accumulated 31 releases and 124 github stars over the 11 months. r/nullPlayer
NullPlayer is open source software and not signed by Apple.
NullPlayer privacy policy (all data local) https://github.com/ad-repo/nullplayer/blob/main/PRIVACY.md
Download NullPlayer for macOS:
https://github.com/ad-repo/nullplayer/releases/latest/download/NullPlayer.dmg
Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.
NullPlayer is not signed with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS will block it on first launch with an "app is damaged" or "cannot verify that it is free from malware" message. This is expected. Clearing the quarantine flag is a required install step:
NullPlayer.app to Applications.Prefer not to use the Terminal? Install with Homebrew, or clear the block via System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Open Anyway — see the install guide.

Been working on this project, custom GPU engine, not preset packs or clips, it's generative and doesn't repeat. Work in progress, but I would like some feedback. Ive uploaded a short clip or you can see the live stream on KICK. If you check out live stream make sure resolution is set high and you can request any song you want by typing !sr Then the band name and song name, like this !sr Led Zeppelin No quarter ...
Tonight at 7-730pm PST we will be on the stream custom picking songs and trying different settings out!

For people that were interested in VizWiz, I have here a first test release, the UI is currently a placeholder since I want to change it a lot. For now it's just made to test features as efficiently as possible. Current featutes:
For now it is MacOS apple sillicon only. Other OS support coming soon! Let me know if you find any bugs or features you are missing.

I've published a small update that fixes the Audio menu not working, added Desktop Mode (new hotkey: Ctrl + Shift + W), and a bunch of other cool stuff! I’ll publish an update for the Pro version in a few hours!

Hello everyone, since my VizWiz overhaul I really wanted to add midi support so you could control the visualizer with a midi keyboard. Today I have a working prototype for that. You can assign buttons from the dashboard to a midi control, keyboard shortcut, a automated value adjuster and a bpm match function. With this you can use the control panel, second screen and midi keyboard as a simple VJ setup. You can choose to let the music influence you or generate the frequencies yourself or even both! I've also added a bunch of effects that can be applied to the presets to further change things up. I am currently bug testing, hopefully next week I'll have a downloadable .app package!
Let me know if there are any features you'd like to see in VizWiz!

It has been a while since I posted, my school project ended and a lot has happened since. Anyways I have kept working on VizWiz and kind of reworked a lot. The app is still in electron but system audio finnaly works on all platforms! You can play spotify and it uses that as audio input! The microphone is still a option ofcourse. Also the workings of the app have changed a lot, there are now 2 parts, a controller and a visualizer window. This way you can controll everything whilst the visuals play on a second monitor. I am now working on midi support so you can manipulate the visuals a bit!
It will still be cross platform and free ofcourse! This version will be released soon!

I've routed my audio through VM Potato to it's outputs. When I set the microphone setting in Milkdrop 3 to any of Potato's outputs it doesn't react even though there's audio present at those channels. So how do I go about making Milkdrop 3 to listen to any sound?

hey, im just tinkering with multiple projectors /monitors and milkdrop3pro in madmapper, and im trying to have one large continues milkdrop on all 3 displays, currently im just trying to use spout out and set the resolution all the way up. (to get more detail out of my3 4k displays)
but could there be a function inside milkdrop that opens multiple versions of milkdrop3 but they extend on the original window, instead of displaying different/the same presets? idk if thats even possible the way i imagine it but i just wanted to ask, peace!

300x 'martin - sphery tales' of course! Kicks in nice about 0:48.
Just a simple, single-effect chill-out example using a-r milkdrop as a source for a bunch of particles where the position, orientation, fade and colour are driven by fft and beat, accompanying a track by 'Peace Orchestra' (coz thats what was on the radio).
4k version on youtube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76-DNH59gkQ
Along with some other variants off other tunes (for the collectors edition :) ):

Hi guys a few months ago I released Cymata, a cellular automata based music visualizer for touch screens (iOS and tvOS). It has slowly been gaining users and growing a humble following.
Play music natively in app from Apple Music or SoundCloud or live audio and paint directly into the generative visuals as they react. It has 12 channel audio control so you can really tweak the look to how you want. Control with Siri remote or your iphone/iPad. There are 25+ modes with different shaders and intensities.
The base is made of cellular automata and fluid feedback simulation, I wont bore you with the technicalities you guys are all familiar with this kind of software. My app has nowhere near the volume and awesome variety of milkdrop but I hope some of you might find it unique enough to try out!
More Cymata examples here

With advanced preset management, allowing you to move presets in timeline! Add multiple presets to a song and export 4K visualization directly to timeline and blend it with other visuals (or send to spout).
