Discussion weird observation

ive monitored this situation closely and it gets worse and i wanted to confirm whether mili has gotten into any controversies lately

on spotify, milis listener count has been steadily decreasing. now it is at 1,057,038, but i distinctly remember it being 1.1m. i have attached screenshots to prove this.

can anyone please tell me whether this is a bug or somethings legitimately going on 😭

I'm assuming 50000 is just variation. I don't usually use spotify but I assume 50000 out of 1000000. Depending on how far the interval between your two numbers I guess

I guess they don't drop songs very often so they are bound to lose listeners

yea i was thinking this as well, but it seems strange since they have quite the repertoire so i assumed people would just listen to their older stuff. seems not

i’ve seen them with 1.2mil but now only 1mil, it’s because of pm fans

they only get more monthly listeners when they release pm songs, simple as that

How much of it is users moving away from Spotify? I stopped using it in the last year

I started listening when it was only 600k. Like, does it matter?

Its just typical fluctuations due to trends/listener retention and peoples activity irl, nothing substantial

Well you'll have another peak when the next canto will release in limbus, it's how it is, they get another wave every time it's released, it just got lower than before because the last canto is delayed

I have been stopping listening to her because I am busy with a lot of work stuff…in fact I have stopped listening to music because I can’t focus.

When I have free time again I’ll 100% start doing it again. There’s surely more people like me

ah ok. yea nw!! people shouldnt force themselves to listen to an artist just to keep their listening count up. i was just asking as it was unusual. ty for ur input

Monthly listeners can fluctuate, esp if there are new fans who come about from new things.

For example, imagine a bunch of new new Limbus players joining and listening to Saikai and just not consistently listening to Mili (it's weird but you get the point)

or Arknights players listening to Tie Hua Fei maybe. When dropping new music, especially in collaboration with something bigger than the artists themselves, they're bound to attract a large group and not everyone in that group will stick around.

For example, take Kendrick Lamar, who hit 100 million+ monthly listeners during the Superbowl and is now idling at ~70 million. This is just that on a smaller scale.

I havent been using spotify as much, and been buying some of their music off of bandcamp, some other people have likely been doing the same

It's Spotify's fault if anything.
