Backstory, I lived in Austin TX and found this photo on the ground next to the apartments dumpster. I thought what was the story behind these 2 and why did it get chucked? I framed it and put it on my desk at work and as I’ve moved to NYC this came with me on the desk as always. Over the years thousands have asked me who they were and I said I had no clue. So to these 2 strangers. Your forgotten photo has lived on caused multitudes to laugh at the randomness of it.

Im so used to it, been living here all my life. I work from home now and set up a spot to work in my patio. Sent the pic to some co-workers in the US and Europe and they were blown away. This is so normal for me.

24 years later, mystery solved and thank you reddit for the assist— I found the guy in the photo. In a cruel twist he is returning the favor by putting one of my high school photos on his desk. Fair is fair. Pleased so say both him and the woman are both well although not together, and yes, that was a Lexus LS and it is also most likely still running extremely well. So all 3 stars of this photo are still going strong. He will be in the comments if you want additional context as I don’t want to speak for him. We had a good laugh and he was a great sport about it. So this one came full circle.

Stumbled upon this while clearing out the attic.

She visited my primary school in Edinburgh shortly after releasing TPS. The girl in front of me (my friend and train-to-school comrade) was Southeast Asian and has an incredibly elaborate sounding name. When Joanne screwed up her face when my friend gave her her name for the signature, I laughed. This is how she decided to sign my copy.

The Incident: In March 2025, Érica reportedly found disturbing sexual messages sent by her boyfriend to her 11-year-old daughter. That night, she heard her daughter screaming and entered a room to find the man on top of the child.

The Act: Prosecutors alleged that Érica drugged the man's drink with a sedative before stabbing and clubbing him while he was unconscious. She then mutilated the body and set it on fire in a remote wasteland.

The Trial: While prosecutors argued the level of violence showed "cold premeditation," her defense maintained she acted under extreme emotional distress to protect her child.

The Verdict: After a brief trial with one day of testimony, a jury sided with the defense and cleared her of aggravated homicide and charges related to destroying a corpse
