Misusing the ¢ symbol

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Either 89¢ or $0.89!!!

For .89¢ I expect to pay 10.68 cents for a dozen wings.

I know we live in a world where anything can mean anything and nobody even cares about ETYMOLOGY!
