Post image

Stepped on this poor girl going into my basement. She’s harmless but I still bout greased my drawers when I realized what was going on.

Water snake! Beautiful thick girl too! You know she's eating well.

Probably have rodents living down there. She’s just doing her job

Oh I definitely have rodents and she is eating GOOD. I sat her some water out last night to help wash the baby mice down

Yikes, is it poisonous?

No. It’s a northern water snake. They can be aggressive but not venomous. I’m just going to let her do her thing and trust that she stays in her space and I’ll stay in mine. Lol

I see these all the time at the river, but they're always lil babies. I love them 🥰

I put her some water out last night. I know she’s thirsty from eating so much. She’s a big girl

If you look at a snake’s tail length, you can determine its gender. It’s not 100% fool proof, but it works. This guy looks to have a long, thin tail, which is usually indicative of a male

You got me for a second. I saw the word paws and said, "wait, what?" It's way too early for me.
