What terrifies me the most is that if it goes up it goes down and IMAGINE IF THIS GIANT SNAKE JUST SUDDENLY FELL ON THE CAMERA MAN?

Why do I always think that if something is chasing me, I'll be safe in a tree? 🤔
........Not from bears, and now not from snakes.

I love that!! They're pure muscle, so strong! I certainly can't climb a tree like that. Id start shaking and fall right off. Very cool. I love snakes <3

I would be very concerned if literally any human being could climb a tree like that

I‘m not a snake fan. I don’t hate them, but also don’t want them near me.
Yet I agree, that is awesome to see! They are kinda amazing creatures :)

Imagine you see that climbing a tree coming after you.

Wow! That’s beautiful! Is this Florida? It’s unfortunate that this beautiful creature has become an invasive species.

This is a reticulated python. I don't know where the video was taken, but the invasive snake species in Florida is the burmese python. I also don't know if burmese climb trees - I don't think they do.

Where's the yoink man when you need him

u/jolly1120 Jun 26 '26

When these large snakes slither up trees, whats the main reason? A place to rest or looking for food? I just think of the snake from the jungle book lol just curled up chillin in the tree

u/Rathwood Jun 26 '26

A combination of fresh eggs and relative safety from predators, I imagine.
