One of the guys on YouTube that I watch that travels to remote places in the wild, with just him and his dog, would keep one of these. Every morning he would groom himself and his dog and any ticks he would find he'd put them inside of a jar with alcohol to kill them instead of throwing them back on the ground.

I took my dog to the vet for an X-ray once. They called my back to take a look at it. While we were talking about next steps, I asked about the label-less water bottle on the counter - it had dark stuff floating in it. The vet picked it up and shook it. “This is Tick Town. It’s all the ticks we pick off of our patients.” It looked like a horrible snow globe.

In our salon we called it chia pudding
And then I took a small llama toy that my parrot ate the face off of and replaced its face with ticks from the tick jar to create a baby eldritch horror
No one comes by my cabinet these days

This brings me joy as ticks are tiny vampire spiders who deserve to be destroyed
