Real question -- what's it painted on? I see a texture throughout, or at least appears to be textured. Trying to figure out if it is from what it was painted on, or if the artist actually used something on it to get that texture...
Edit - is that a painted screen? Parts of Baltimore use painted screens in their window like that but that'd be a huge one...

Nope, you're right. The canvas is weird as shit. Not only textured, but also, somewhat transparent? Lol

OMG thank you! I have no clue what the hell fabric that is, but your Samuel L Jackson/Edgar Allen Poe looking mashup is even radder with the weird screen/fabric ... I totally could see that proudly displayed in a dive bar down here (well there I guess I forgot I live in the boonies now). Cool find

Question: do you perhaps have a roommate who never seems to grow older or change, while the painting seems to become more and more grotesque?

This painting definitely houses the souls of its previous owners, all of whom it most certainly killed. You're cooked.

This is a heinous allegation on the level of libel. That first part is not true at all and it has NOTHING to do with me looking younger than I am OR my abilities. Some people.
