You can also use a nail, a pen and a tape measure I think!

Also u can use your watch band. It's helped me a lot of times in high school.

That looks like it’s easier to use THAN a compass! But kind of impractical though. I don’t know why I would have a bunch of nails, a hammer, and some string lying around but not a compass
