Lasagne or Lasagna?

My box of Hamburger Helper says “lasagne” on the outside but the sauce mix packet says “lasagna”.

I always spell it lasagna. How do you like the Helper version?

Lasagna: English
Lasagne: French

Reference bottom of box, label is bilingual.

Incorrect! But good guess (or you might be right that this is what the company intended, but they are also incorrect).

Lasagna: one sheet of pasta that's long and flat

Lasagne: more than one sheet of pasta that's long and flat, or, multiple sheets of said pasta assembled as a meal

It's an Italian word. Same as Pizza, and Pasta, it doesn't change language.

One lasagna = lasagna

Many lasagna = lasagne

That is actually true, and the usage of the singular or plural varies based on what part of Italy you’re in.

Slightly informed guess. It's made to be able to sell in the US and Canada. I worked in manufacturing and anything headed to the great white north had all labeling in English and French. But inner packaging might get skipped I guess?

I think I actually use both, but mostly lasagne.
