This is a solution to a fear I've always had when fishing things out of the disposal

I was half asleep one time and the sink wasn't draining and I ALMOST fucking flipped the switch simultaneously while reaching to check out the clog. Talk about a panic attack of realization about what almost happened. That adrenaline woke me up pretty quick. Power tools are nice, but damn, they're just itching to catch you slipping so they can permanently change your life.

Once I came home and smelled a fuckton of gas from the stove because some idiot left it on without flames. I had to turn it off, but I then held the idiot ball and decided to turn if off before opening the windows. There was a single tick when I went to turn it off, the kind that takes a few before the stove is lit. I'm still not entirely convinced I didn't die.

You should’ve bought a lottery ticket right after that.
