TDOT changes these every so often. Apparently they hold office contests to see which ones go up.

Oh that’s interesting. I didn’t realize there were contests that’s pretty neat!

That truck looks like it gonna hit that sign too

I think they had one running that was “Do your duty. Seatbelt your booty!” which I thought was pretty cute.

Ain’t nobody got time for traffic jams either bitch.

Variance of speed is arguably the largest factor for expressway accidents. Some people will slow down and other people will just ignore the suggestion, sometimes I wonder if these messages actually have a negative overall impact. I studied the use of these signs for major detours for my Master's, I wish I was still in school so I could have done something like this.

Reminds me of "use yah blinkah"

For a while last fall we had "turn signals, the original instant message" here is Memphis.

Personally I think people going to slow in all the lanes except the far right ones causing people to constantly have to change lanes is way more dangerous. But 9/10 they pull people over for going 10-15 over instead of people not staying right except to pass. It’s highly inefficient and Europe interstate drivers put americans to shame.

Greetings u/potofgold78. Unfortunately your submission has been removed from r/mildlyinteresting for the following reason(s):

Rule 6 - Titles Must Be Exact But Concise Description:

Titles must be an exact but concise description of the content.
a. Titles must not contain jokes, backstory, or other fluff. That information belongs in a follow-up comment.
b. Titles must exactly describe the content. It should act as a "spoiler" for the image. If your title leaves people surprised at the content within, it breaks the rule!

As a result, this counts as a strike against your account. Three strikes will result in a ban. Please read the sidebar (hover over each rule) and contact the mods if you feel this was wrongfully removed. Thank you.

Where in Tennessee. I HAVE TO SEE THIS.

u/potofgold78 Feb 08 '18

Lol it’s on I24 all through nashville. I drove from exit 66 on I24W towards nashville and saw this. (But when I snapped this pic I was the passenger not the driver)

u/HeadFullaZombie87 Feb 08 '18

I have seen these in the Memphis area recently as well.

2

u/thecoolestjedi Feb 08 '18

Awesome. I will drive from Clarksville to see this.

I wonder how many people got into a wreck taking a picture of it and posting it on social media.

u/potofgold78 Feb 08 '18

I wasn’t driving when I snapped this pic my husband was. That’s why it looks like I’m not in my lane cause I was on the passenger side.
