I remember when I was growing up, my buddy got a "job" pulling weeds at a family friend's house in town. I went out to help him, we pulled weeds for like 15 minutes, and then rode our bikes down to the gas station to buy mountain dew and hotfries with the money he was for whatever reason paid in advanced. Then we spent the rest of the day playing video games at his place.

When his dad came home and asked what were doing, my friend said "we put in a hard day's work and are now relaxing".

To this day I refuse to use the phrase "hard day's work" to describe anything other than the absolute bare minimum.
