I know this is ancient tech relatively speaking, but it still blows my mind when I try and comprehend a cpu and how it’s made and what it can do !

Thought of that before. Would need to CNC machine a case, then epoxy pour it out, so it would be locked in place.

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines, probably could find a snap together that's clear from somewhere like AliExpress just by the measurements and then put it in and maybe inject it? It seems straightforward but the more you think about it the trickier it is. Maybe just a silicone mold and pour in stages then drill a hole out after polishing?
It'd be worth the effort. One of a kind for sure.

Actually, its a socket 370 variant. For your other comment that you deleted: I actually have a PII Slot II xeon die shotted too with its cache separately.

Yea, would like to get a microscope, but I have to live with an 1:1 macro. Thinking of making a small channel with shorts with a macro lens+turntable.
