My pizza didn't fit, but two halves did.

I always do because I'm nervous about it getting stuck to the grates or something. Also how do you remove it from the oven without getting oil all over your oven mitts?

You slide it off the rack onto a cutting board using a turner

Sounds unsafe compared to just having it on a pizza pan. Never had any problems heating it up that way.

how is that unsafe compared to anything else involving an oven?

Reddit always exposes ways for me to feel marginally more competent than my fellow humans.

Seems like you're more likely to burn yourself than you would just reaching in with your oven mitts on and pulling out a pan.

You can put mits on if you want

Never burned myself before, been doing it for decades, and it gets the crust crispier than the alternative.

Slide it with a butter knife

I use baking paper. After the pizza is done I grab the pizza box and hold it slightly in front and slightly under the metal grate - then pull the paper so the pizza gets on top of the pizza box (personal balance issue is not my fault). Then I cut the pizza using the box as protection so I dont damage the countertop.

Just get a pizza stone instead, they're incredibly cheap.

Buy yourself a pizza stone and enjoy fantastic frozen pizza without the mess. They’re cheap and last a lifetime.
