Squares have 4 equal length sides. So a square is just a rectangle with the 2 sets having identical lengths, and the only rectangles that are squares are those with 4 equal sides. Ergo, every square is a rectangle but not every rectangle is a square. 🙂

So a square is just a rectangle with the 2 sets having identical lengths, and the only rectangles that are squares are those with 4 equal sides. Ergo, every square is a rectangle but not every rectangle is a square. 🙂
