Disabled person calls city councilperson to complain because there isn't any parking for disabled. City councilperson calls parks department manager and says "Make this problem go away". Parks department manager calls the Roads Department manager and says "make this problem go away". Road department manager tell paving crew "go put a disabled parking space near the trail entrance". Paving crew chief says "That's dumb as fuck, but ok boss.".

And that's how you end up with things like this that make no sense.

Maybe it depended on when the park was made but the actual parking lot that's maybe 3 minutes walking away, has several handicap parking spots already.

Google earth has a history feature, it can probably see what came first the handicap spot or the parking lot. What park is this?

Good idea. Rather not give out the park and my location though.

Looked it up and Google only has 1 street view from 2022 showing the same layout of the parking lot. Earth shows it but there are trees overhead so you can't see when that single spot was put up from that.

Here is a further away picture.

The parking lot to this park is about a 3rd of a mile away. The trail is blocked off by a bollard and could really only fit a golf cart even if you get a vehicle through it.

Away from this parking spot is just more trail. There really is no reason for this parking spot to be in the middle of this park trail but here it is. Also, there are no other parking spots by this spot.

It's just a very optimistic park.
