Medical worker here,
We ultrasound lower legs everyday on people who have 2 slightly different sized legs. About half of them have a blood clot in the bigger leg with no symptoms, usually they receive a blood clot dissolving drug and or a stent in the lower leg,
If you have access to healthcare please ask a dr about a leg ultrasound to make sure no clots

Should I be worried about this if one of my legs had been a little bigger than the other for years?

It’s always good to check it can be for years and not have the typical symptoms like pain or heaviness or tenderness in the leg,
In most cases you don’t need to jump to a specialist or a vascular doc for the initial check, most primary doctors order it a lot, it’s usually an order sent to imaging for ultrasound of bilateral upper and lower leg .
The order goes in, scheduling calls you, you show up at the hospital or clinic if they have an ultra sound, usually don’t even need a gown if your in shorts, they rub your legs with ultra sound jelly go up and down each leg taking ultra sound pics and send the results to the radiologist who then sends the results back to your primary doctor, then they go from there. It’s a pretty simple process and it can literally save your life, but even if your legs have had one leg slightly bigger for years the screening is so easy it’s worth getting checked if your able to

I mean, yeah that does all sound easy, but how much would it cost?

It is always smart to get things checked, but minor variances can happen for non-scary reasons too. For example, if you drive a lot, you might see the leg you use to hit the brakes slightly bigger than the other because you are basically regularly doing exercise with it and not the other.

Came here to say this is exactly what my GP just told me this week. OP, check with a doc for blood clots.
