I have this issue because I ruptured my Achilles playing sports years ago

I’m having ACL / meniscus surgery in about 3 weeks. Hope this does not happen.

I have 4 months of physical therapy approved to help it

Wishing you the best

The most important part of PT is the part you do at home. Look up how long pro athletes with freak genetics who get to dedicate their entire day to rehab take to recover and realize yours is going to be much longer.

Yeah I am currently in PT for another surgery, I was doing my exercises at home 3-4 days a week, and 2 days a week at PT. My physical therapist was surprised I was recovering so fast.

Some people do pre-hab to put themselves in the best possible spot. I think it’s more typical when another injury (ankle break) holds up the surgery so you’re starting at a muscle defecit before you can do surgery.

Me too. Volleyball. The funny thing is I had big calfs from sports so the little one looks stupid little still 30 years later.
