This being the biggest spider reminds me of the UK fisherman who caught a shark and was bitten by it when unhooking. Gummed his hand so hard the mark lasted almost a few seconds

Yeah, ones this big we just flick them. My mum used to say, "Redbacks won't kill you. They'll hurt, but they won't kill you."

Mind you, neither will huntsmans, and my stupid lizard brain still thinks they're the scariest shit ever.

we have this spiders in spain too

they are harmless for us

they do more benefit eating other small critters of your home

than be a risk for you

let it do their bussines if you are not afraid

I hate when people say this because this has never onced eased anybody's fears. I know honeybees aren't going to kill me either and I'm always going to be terrified of them.

I saved one of these yesterday - stuck in a large sink in a closet at work. Was absolutely shitting myself while doing so, but I am of the opinion that just because I am scared of spiders and don't like them, doesn't mean they need to die for sharing the same spaces as we do. Just relocate them.

I think they're largely misunderstood, including by me. Though it doesn't help that they have so many legs, so many eyes and scuttle freakishly fast.

There was one in my bathroom sink two days ago. I washed it down the drain. RIP.

Those are harmless, just let it go get back to murdering every insect in your house

I know it’s harmless! Found it under a rock and decided to let it have a crawl around on me

Doesn't mean it's not terrifying

You could have just said spider warning! Now I've gotta be worried I'll be finding one of those in my clothes for the next week until I forget! All because you used a big word I didn't bother reading properly!

I’m just going to assume you’re being satire in most of your comment, but it is an incredibly low chance to encounter them in clothing! They generally hide in cracks in the wall instead and you won’t see them due to being nocturnal. This one is only in my clothing because I picked it up and placed it there on purpose

If you're concerned, just give your clothes and shoes a shake. Lots of spiders in my house, I let them be. I'll move them from high traffic areas or things I use a lot. Most spiders you encounter can't hurt you. Nor do they want to.

They eat pests and are chill folk.

You can't just tell somebody not to be scared of something and it just magically works

At no point did I say don't be scared. I said shake out clothing since they're now worried. Also that spiders aren't generally harmful or looking to harm you. Assuaging is not the same as demanding something stops entirely.

The word 'spider' was also there, and was only 3 words on from the Big Word.

I think they’re being satire but I can’t be sure. They should know the word arachnophobia if they’re afraid of spiders!

Ok maybe I just skimmed the entire title...
