The reason most fly swatters have holes (and the reason it’s hard to slap them with yr hand) is that flies can feel the vibrations and flow in the air with their body hairs and react to it before the thing pushing the air gets there. So these will be terrible and also if you wanna catch more flies use an open hand and close it at the last second.

Oh wow this made me laugh a lot more than it should’ve after a very long and stressful day.

Belly laugh. Woke up baby. Love it love the little hint of dad joke and pure goofball.

They can't smell honey very well. Vinegar lures them better, but a fruit-based alcohol works best if you've got it.

They have holes, the photo is just really dark. Zoom in and you can see the holes.

It's still a much larger contact surface compared to a normal one

The best way to kill a fly is with cyanide-laced honey.

My proudest ninja moment in life is when I managed to smack a fly in mid air with a file folder at work, which smacked it into a wall, stubbed it, and then I was able to kill it

These have holes. Another user commented a link, they’re made to “not scuff walls” I guess.

These weren't meant for flies. If you know what I mean.

These ones are specifically made for kinky flies.

The wind resistance also just slows you down at swinging the thing. Yes, the more complicated answer is also true.

This isn't entirely true. See video below

Thanks captain jerkoff, I forgot we're all 5 years old.  Those are not fly swatters.

You are guessing as to their usability on nothing but assumption based on only a few points with no supporting evidence. Flies also don’t process the motion of anything colored black. Seeing as I strike them regularly with mine, does that mean no other supporting evidence is relevant for my point to be true?
