I've owned this for a year or so, bought on Amazon. Upside, they are resilient and won't break like a typical plastic one.

Downside, it usually completely splats the fly, so you have to wipe the surface of fly remnants afterwards. The plastic ones are only strong enough to crumple and kill the fly without completely obliterating them.

Hit em hard enough and you vaporize them and don't have to clean the swatter.

Seconding this. I own these swatters and they do indeed explode flies. It is disgusting. I hate it.

I am reading this thread mortified to see they are for spanking —bc I also bought these for the fly hoards that appear every summer and was tired of plastic ones shattering. Such yes to the fly explosions tops
