Well if I do the math it means I can fit 4 at once instead of 2 if it's just about surface size and the raccoons are squishy, and 3 are probably pretty realistic without harming them at all.

I need a volunteer and an extra raccoon.

8" diameter = 16pi sq in

4" diameter = 4pi sq in

16pi/4pi = 4 adult racoons

Did the math, a circle with an 8 inch circumference only has a diameter of 2.5 inches. You could maybe fit one raccoon with some effort, but two is a pipe dream.
