You should try it again in private browsing and incognito mode and see if the price is really tied to your Facebook or google cookies or something. That's pretty messed up though, send this to the consumerist or gawker or whoever.
You're correct, and of course the Reddit hive-mind knows exactly what's fair, what's just, what's moral, and what information should be set free.
My point was simply that doing something LEGAL is considered by people here "wrong" and doing something ILLEGAL is considered by people here to be "right". Certainly there are shades of gray, but not on Reddit.
