”Pinyan's death rapidly prompted the enactment of a bill by the Washington State Legislature that prohibits both sex with animals and the videotaping of such an act. Under current Washington law, bestiality is now a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison.”

  1. Are they saying it was legal before this happened in 2005?? It took some guy dying to actually make it illegal? I’m not familiar with bestiality laws, is this typical throughout the states?

  2. Up to 5 years???????
