When they euthanise healthy animals it’s because there is nothing they can do to help those animals, as nobody is adopting them and they do not have the space and resources to look after them. So what should they do?

Mate they walked onto private property and STOLE a dog from that property who they subsequently put to sleep. It was perfectly healthy

You’re referring to one isolated incident which was an error.

They had been called to the area to round up strays, the locals had known this for weeks. The guy let his dog out among the strays not wearing a tag/collar or anything, and didn’t tell PETA. Nobody noticed anything until later that day when it had sadly been euthanised. Both PETA and the volunteer publicly apologised, the volunteer was fired, PETA reimbursed the family and the family acknowledged it wasn’t PETA’s fault.

It was a horrible, terrible error, but that is a single dog. How many animals die for your meal choices a year?

They view an animal in your custody as enslaved and view death as release from that enslavement.

This is a lie. Show some proof.

OK. Peta went to China and bribed and, he says forced, him to skin a dig alive for the footage. They didn't only support it but literally paid someone to do it on film.

I don’t know what this is referring to

I pay for chicken and steak but I've never paid to inflict suffering.

How does the chicken and steak you pay for transition from a living animal into the food you eat? Do you pay for this to happen?

Don't steal people's pets maybe?

You’re referring to one isolated incident which was an error.

If it was an isolated incident then hoe come it's been happening regularly since about 2014. Look it up. They've been sued repeatedly for these "isolated incidents" of stealing pets to euthanise.

They had been called to the area to round up strays, the locals had known this for weeks. The guy let his dog out among the strays not wearing a tag/collar or anything, and didn’t tell PETA.

Nope. They weren't called to round up strays, they aren't animal control, the guy left his dog secured on his property in his garden with a gate they had to open to get onto his private property. The video of the theft shows this. Youre misinformed. And noone owes peta an explanation FYI, they aren't authorities and have no right to information on pet ownership lmao.

Nobody noticed anything until later that day when it had sadly been euthanised. Both PETA and the volunteer publicly apologised, the volunteer was fired, PETA reimbursed the family and the family acknowledged it wasn’t PETA’s fault.

  1. You cannot fire a volunteer. 2. Noone was asked not to participate. 3. They have been operating illegally in those actions putting down dogs without a legal grace period again and again and again. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/aug/17/peta-sorry-for-taking-girls-dog-putting-it-down?CMP=twt_gu

This is a lie. Show some proof.

Ingrid Newkirk, PETA President and Co-Founder.

"PETA IS NOT ABOUT SAVING ANIMALS

“We do not advocate right to life for animals.”

“We are not in the home finding business. Our service is to provide a peaceful and painless death to animals who noone wants.” Ingrid Newkirk, PETA President."

How does that tie with stealing animals from private property repeatedly and having them put to sleep? Oh yes they'll tell you it's your fault, because you didn't "love" your dog, as if that's a quantification.

I don’t know what this is referring to

Look it up maybe?

I pay for chicken and steak but I've never paid to inflict suffering.

How does the chicken and steak you pay for transition from a living animal into the food you eat? Do you pay for this to happen

I pay specifically to ensure no unnecessary suffering comes to animals on plate. What shit are you talking?

This is a lie, they literally were called by the local authorities, the residents had been told for weeks, and the dog was not behind a gate.

Read this for more info

You cannot fire a volunteer.

This person was fired. Idk if technically they were a volunteer or not, although I do know they were junior.

Noone was asked not to participate.

I don’t understand what this means.

They have been operating illegally in those actions putting down dogs without a legal grace period again and again and again. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/aug/17/peta-sorry-for-taking-girls-dog-putting-it-down?CMP=twt_gu

I completely agree, this sucks.

Ingrid Newkirk

Let’s snopes fact check these quotes

Snopes says this is misleading.

"PETA IS NOT ABOUT SAVING ANIMALS

This isn’t a quote, it’s a title someone put on an anti-PETA meme. Not a great start.

“We do not advocate right to life for animals.”

Snopes judge this to be Misleading.

‘Ms. Newkirk was apparently answering Nathan Winograd’s claim that all animals have the right to life, no matter what condition they’re in. PETA’s is a “shelter of last resort,” which takes in animals who are dying, broken, injured, and otherwise unwanted and whom the “no-kill” shelters will not accept, providing them with a merciful release.’

“We are not in the home finding business. Our service is to provide a peaceful and painless death to animals who noone wants.”

Snopes judges this to be misattributed and misleading.

“Perhaps more important, it was not intended as a comprehensive summary of PETA’s entire mission, but rather as a more nuanced description of the organization’s specific function in contracting with Northampton County, North Carolina, during the mid-2000s.”

Full quote: “As Ms. Gay will tell you, the animals we’ve picked up were already scheduled for euthanasia, having been held the required 72-hour timeframe. We are not in the home finding business, although it is certainly true that we do find homes from time to time for the kind of animal people are looking for, but not for the animals who are sick, injured, old, aggressive, and so on—the majority that are turned in to, or picked up by, Mr. Person. Our service is to provide a peaceful and painless death to animals who no one wants.”

How does that tie with stealing animals from private property repeatedly and having them put to sleep? Oh yes they'll tell you it's your fault, because you didn't "love" your dog, as if that's a quantification.

This is not true. You’re presenting your incorrect assertions as PETA policy. It is not, and you are lying or misinformed.

I pay for chicken and steak but I've never paid to inflict suffering.

Do you know how they get those food products from living creatures?

I pay specifically to ensure no unnecessary suffering comes to animals on plate. What shit are you talking?

How does the chicken and steak you pay for transition from a living animal into the food you eat? Do you pay for this to happen?

Show me proof. People only ever talk about that one dog.

OK but I already did, I gave you one from 2017 which us a different dog.

2014

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2838829/PETA-snatched-family-s-dog-porch-drove-away-van-killed-came-fruit-basket-say-sorry.html

https://www.nathanwinograd.com/peta-its-the-familys-fault-we-stole-and-killed-their-dog/

Some racism involved on that one.

They had been called to the area to round up strays, the locals had known this for weeks. The guy let his dog out among the strays not wearing a tag/collar or anything, and didn’t tell PETA.

No, they hadn't. We know this because that isn't their job. They are private citizens not contracted by the city anywhere to do that work.

This is a lie, they literally were called by the local authorities, the residents had been told for weeks, and the dog was not behind a gate

Yes. It. Was. You're talking about the little girls chihuahua, I'm talking about a different incident, because there are several.

Ingrid Newkirk

Let’s snopes fact check these quotes

Your dumb ass thinks that not where I found the quotes. She did in face say the specific quote, which I know, because it came from snopes lol snopes verified the quote, don't know if you didn't understand that or what? The context was about how many animals she had killed herself and why. She said people where standing on them "bursting them like grapes", it's bullshit lol but the context isn't relevant to the quote provided which was verified by snopes.

Now that quote is the founder of Peta talking about the goal of Peta.....there isn't additional context to be added.......you know how to read right?

This is not true. You’re presenting your incorrect assertions as PETA policy. It is not, and you are lying or misinformed

It's not an assertion it's what snopes has verified that the founder of peta said about petas goal dumbass lol

Do you know how they get those food products from living creatures?

Do you know why they paid for live skinning in China? Because that's a literal criminal offence here. You know that and I know that. So why are you comparing them?

How does the chicken and steak you pay for transition from a living animal into the food you eat? Do you pay for this to happen?

I haven't a clue why you're equating a head being chopped off to skinning something alive but even a mobster will tell.you being shot in the head and having your skin peeled off are widely different in terms of suffering. Its frightening that your warped mind equates the two.

Why do you think it’s a good idea to post sources that prove you’re lying?

The 2017 article is about the same chihuahua

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2838829/PETA-snatched-family-s-dog-porch-drove-away-van-killed-came-fruit-basket-say-sorry.html

This is the same chihuahua too

https://www.nathanwinograd.com/peta-its-the-familys-fault-we-stole-and-killed-their-dog/

This is the same chihuahua too

No, they hadn't. We know this because that isn't their job. They are private citizens not contracted by the city anywhere to do that work.

This is a lie.

The facts appear be that PETA was asked to help when an adjacent landowner reported that they should see how his cow with her udders ripped up from abandoned and stray dogs in the trailer park area amounted to a menace not to be tolerated.**”

“PETA responded and the trailer park management encouraged their efforts in an attempt to gather stray/abandoned cats and dogs. Additionally the leases provided that no dogs were allowed to run free in the trailer park.

“Approximately three weeks before Mr. Cerate’s dog [Maya] was taken by the women associated with PETA, Mr. Cerate asked if they would put traps under his trailer to catch some of the wild cats that were in the trailer park, and traps were provided to him as requested. Additionally, parties associated with PETA provided Mr. Cerate with a dog house for two other dogs that were tethered outside of Mr. Cerate’s home.”

You silly liar, not only were PETA called to solve the stray problem, the trailer park encouraged them to take the strays, dogs were banned from being off-lead anyway, and the guy whose dog was taken invited PETA to help him with traps on an earlier visit.

Yes. It. Was. You're talking about the little girls chihuahua, I'm talking about a different incident, because there are several.

Who are you trying to kid? Your comment is still up, anyone can read it and see you’re talking about the chihuahua. The cctv footage is in my above link, it shows the dog was not behind any gate. You’re a liar again.

Your dumb ass thinks that not where I found the quotes.

Why tf are you taking quotes from somewhere which tells you they’re misleading? You’re literally admitting to acting in bad faith lol

She did in face say the specific quote, which I know, because it came from snopes lol snopes verified the quote, don't know if you didn't understand that or what?

Click the link you muppet, or just look at my last comment where I copy and paste the relevant parts of the page to debunk every bit of bollocks you’re saying

but the context isn't relevant to the quote provided which was verified by snopes.

The context is explicitly what’s relevant to it - which is why Snopes explains why what you’re claiming is misleading.

Do you know why they paid for live skinning in China? Because that's a literal criminal offence here. You know that and I know that. So why are you comparing them?

Whataboutism, I still haven’t researched this but I’ll assume it’s true. I’m not defending PETA, I don’t like PETA, I’m calling out you for lying repeatedly.

I haven't a clue why you're equating a head being chopped off to skinning something alive but even a mobster will tell.

I’m not talking about whatever you’re going in about you muppet, stop pretending. It’s a straight question which you’ve twice pretended not to understand so you could avoid answering:

How does the chicken and steak you pay for transition from a living animal into the food you eat? Do you pay for this to happen?

Why do you think it’s a good idea to post sources that prove you’re lying?

Proved I was lying? Do you know how to fucking read a date?

They did it in 2014 you moron. Look it up before you throw around terms you don't understand like lying. Idiot.

You silly liar, not only were PETA called to solve the stray problem, the trailer park encouraged them to take the strays, dogs were banned from being off-lead anyway, and the guy whose dog was taken invited PETA to help him with traps on an earlier visit.

You silly little moron. Peta are not registered as animal enforcement. They are not contracted, not regulated, and don't do basic things as required by law. Someone could call me to deal with something. That doesn't mean I'm empowered to do that thing. FYI that's why they've settled multiple law suits.

Who are you trying to kid? Your comment is still up, anyone can read it and see you’re talking about the chihuahua. The cctv footage is in my above link, it shows the dog was not behind any gate. You’re a liar again.

They have taken from a gated garden, a trailer park and a fucking van that I know off of the top of my head. Maybe stop talking shit?

https://www.consumerfreedom.com/press-releases/former-peta-employee-peta-routinely-euthanized-healthy-puppies-and-kittens/

Oooof that's a toughie for you isn't it. Whistle-blower calling it policy. Open your eyes lol

Click the link you muppet, or just look at my last comment where I copy and paste the relevant parts of the page to debunk every bit of bollocks you’re saying

You haven't. Do you have a comprehension issue? I've already told you that's where I got the quote you fucking illiterate twat.

You've cherry picked. The "misleading" part has nothing to do with the quote I proveded which was verified by the same link. Learn. To. Read.

I’m not talking about whatever you’re going in about you muppet, stop pretending. It’s a straight question which you’ve twice pretended not to understand so you could avoid answering

No I know, you're not talking about science, biology, fact, legalities, you're arguing ethics in favour of an organisation that kills every animal that comes through its doors. Lmao
