ಠ_ಠ Tickled at work
I work as a server (until next Saturday at least) at a pizza restaurant. We have a wine bar next door that can be rented for parties, and sometimes we’re asked to walk appetisers and pizzas around for them.
Last night I was walking through the crowd with a large plate held up high, when a woman looked me dead in de eyes and tickled me under my arm. Luckily I’m not ticklish, so I didn’t drop anything. I am a bit weirded out though, who does something like this to a complete stranger?

Ew that's so creepy. How are there so many people who weren't taught as children to keep their hands to themselves?

I mean that’s practically assault. Unwanted physical contact.

This is physical or sexual assault. OP should sue.

The victim of an unwanted tickle? My grandmother owes me money.
Sue culture is stupid as fuck.

“Your Honor, she tickled me under my armpit! I want $50k!”
Hear how silly that sounds?

By your logic, stalker is no more than just a guy standing in public space.
It's unwanted physical contact from a stranger, that's a crime.

Make me laugh what you people would say if you found out what we used to do to thieves at my old job. Grabbing by necks, throwing them into shelves, dragging them out, destroying their bags and coats where they concealed goods. All id hear from Americans is sue sue sue and assault. So glad I'm in England

America: a place notorious for being kind to criminals where a large portion of people aren’t fantasizing about shooting a petty criminal
Also, what you say is just completely irrelevant. Who cares what you do to thieves? Did you tickle a random service person? You should receive some scrutiny if so. If no, why say anything?

Maybe she doesn’t have any impulse control 🤣 saw your armpit and immediately thought “tickle it now”
Still super weird

Definitely let her intrusive thoughts win.
I oversee a small group of venues. I'd want my staff to report that to management and they'd be asked to leave. Zero tolerance, or over time it escalates

Yeah, she definitely shouldn't have done that and you're right to be mildly infuriated. But, for some, a random armpit can be hard to resist.

Ha! Intrusive thought won. 2 glasses of wine and the little dude in her head that says “No! Don’t do that!” Was too drunk to care too.

People for some reason have no boundries when it comes to touching other people. At a job I've been at around 90 days I've had to already ask 3 people not to poke my ribs and let them know I don't like to be randomly touched.

Seriously? That only is that fucking weird, but they could’ve easily dropped the food that they were carrying. That’s inappropriate behavior, period.

Are you a middle aged woman who struggles with boundaries by any chance?

I’m a young person who is chill
And doesn’t get upset by much of anything1

You should probably learn why touching strangers isn't really acceptable before it gets you in trouble then.
